....Or the model has a really small face & mine is big :) They're about 3/4ths the size they look in pic #2. The drop is a little further than the standard fish-hook fastening. I also found the lighter shade of blue to be several shades lighter than pic (which is totally a monitor issue, not a "problem" w/earrings themselves). It's still a very nice colorful stone w/nice clarity; I'd call them between a baby blue and a sky blue (....which is what they're called, derp, but who looks at names! :)). I gave them 5 stars tho I'm returning them, because they're quite pretty (altho they're price point appropriate, dont expect to fool anyone with your "real" gem), all my issues were preference.

I was surprised that the earrings are slightly larger than expected and prettier in person. The gem stone sparkles and is a beautiful color of blue, very versatile. Good quality as well.

These look very pretty and they are a birthday gift. I think the person will really like them - purple being their favorite color. They came in a nice gift box and a pretty little gift bag inside.

These are ok. Not quite as pretty as I was hoping. Also, I don't like that the design faces the same way. I like earring to be opposite so that they frame my face.

My dad passed away last October. August 13 was his and my mom's 45 anniversary. I wanted to get her something special in memory of my dad. These sapphire (45th anniversary is sapphire) earrings looked absolutely perfect for her...and I was right! They are beautiful on, light weight, hang perfectly, shine and sparkle. I could not have picked out a better pair! She adores them!
