Monster High Toy - Frights Camera Action Hauntlywood - Elissabat Fashion Doll Daughter of Vampire

Two of my nieces are absolutely Monster High mad at the moment - as with the majority of girls in their years at school. At first glance they may seem a little creepy but I must admit that if Monster High had been out and about when I was little then I would have actually liked dolls (well the Monster High ones anyway) and I am quite upset that I am far too old for them now! I have bought this Elissabat doll as a present for one of my nieces and she absolutely loves her as she is one of the newer Monster High Dolls out at the moment. The Hauntlywood range has recently come out and Elissabat was one of the very few dolls that my niece didn't have. I couldn't resist having a quick peek at the doll before wrapping her and I told myself that "this was for purely checking that everything was included that should be....."! The Elissabat doll stands at around 27cm tall which seems to be the normal approx height for the MH Dolls. She comes with her most recent DVD and the award she received for her riveting performance, two pairs of earrings, bangle, boots, corset outfit, hair brush, doll stand and diary. She has dark purple hair and her arms, legs, elbows and wrists are jointed and fully poseable. Elissabat is a 1601 years old enchanting actress and star of the silver screen who was once Vampire Queen but fled her responsibility. She is childhood friends with Draculaura and friends with Dracula. She has since been discovered as the long lost Vampire Queen and has taken up the role but still manages to combine her love of acting. Elissabat and the rest of the Hauntlywood monsters are part of the Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action [DVD] [2013 ] new DVD that has recently come out. Elissabat is a really good quality doll with lots of extra accessories and especially good quality when compared with some of the more 'basic' models in the Monster High range. Now I just need to hope that my daughter likes Monster High when she grows up and that they are still popular so that I can play with the dolls and sets myself! My daughter is 8 and when I ordered this doll I thought it would be a 5 minute wonder but she loves and adores it - it's part of her daily routine although I don't let her take it to school with her. A big hit.

Really nice doll, arrived on time. However, the hair on the doll was greasy/ and hair solid at the fringe and had some kind of residue on hair. I searched online about this- apparently, some people had had issues with their dolls. "Was down to the glue leaking out of the head area"? I did wash the hair several times, like suggested by some people. Has helped a little but its still quite greasy still!

Elissabat is easily among the most beautiful of the monster high dolls. Her design is so unique and her outfit is to die for (pun not intended). Elissabat's hair is very soft and beautiful, and it's oh so fun to brush. It's a great mix of dark purple and black, which compliment each other beautifully. Her eyes are the same purple color and her skin is a nice shade of pale pink. Her outfit is a corset-style Gothic dress with lace and frills on the ends. The frills add a beautiful touch and her black boots are incredibly detailed with frills molded into the plastic as well. If you like changing clothes on the dolls, the shoes on this one are easier to put on and take off than boots on most of the other dolls (in my experience at least). The accessories this doll comes with are also very nice. They are a diary, a sliver award with a hand sticking out of it, and a small toy DVD case (you can even take the DVD in and out!). A brush and stand are also included, which is always a bonus. Monster High dolls should always come with stands, IMHO (though not all do). Elissabat is a great doll, so please, get her as soon as you can! Perfect for goths, collectors, and vampire fans. She's a Gothic beauty that you don't want to pass up.
