Vey fast delivery. Purchased to replace an older poorer quality product, which had a tendency to "knock the door" in windy conditions.Fitting this letterbox was quite straightforward, in my case this meant drilling the fixing holes into the door. Care is needed as the location of the fixing holes are actually off centre to the letterbox aperture. With careful measuring and marking where the two fixing holes should be, remembering to offer up the replacement letterbox to the marked up door before drilling.To accommodate the raised bosses on the outer section of the letter box the holes need to be a minimum diameter of 10mm. This allows the outer section to sit flush with the door. Drilling slightly larger holes or making slots, allows the letterbox movement to "square it up" to the door.I am very satisfied the the quality and price of the product, it is far superior to the letterbox it replaced.

Quality is fine especially considering price point. As others have pointed out you need to be very careful with measuring. Also take special note of the difference in depth. Look at the pictures carefully showing doors with/without a mid rail that have a different depth requirement. The picture in the description is used to show both variants. Once you are clear on what type of door and depth you need, check the description title carefully for mid rail type or otherwise.

I bought this because the position of the screws was shown in the product information; this was important because it was to replace a current letterbox which had broken. I'm not sure why so many sellers fail to provide this information. I needed to provide my own through screws because the ones provided were not long enough for the thickness of my mid-rail but that was only a minor problem. The box fitted easily, looks great and was very good value.

Reasonable quality overall however needed to buy 50mm length screws for my UPVC door ,no fitting instructions can’t see how it could fit with screws supplied to 80mm door with gasket in place with screws supplied,fiddly to say the least gave in the end went for 10mm longer screws which made it possible eventually with help to hold in place .Good value overall once fitted seems reasonably solid and draft free

Get what you pay for (cheap). It also doesn't look like the one in the image which I'm more annoyed about as it looks more ugly and if purposely avoided the design. If I hadn't got a broken letterbox desperate to be replaced I would have sent it back. It's also built the wrong way round as other reviews mention so letters will catch when they're posted, but I'm less bothered about this, as I say you get what you pay for.

This should be a good product but the manufacturing appears to have been carried out incorrectly. This has been pointed out in a previous review, which I unfortunately missed. Although the product description refers to 2 screws being secured from inside, they are on the outside, if the brush seals are positioned on the inside (as is normal). Having the screws on the outside is apparently not good for security.Fitting the brush seals on the inside also results in the inside plate chute sliding inside the outside plate chute. This could result in pares, etc catching when posted.I returned the item which is a shame as it would be a simple matter to manufacture it correctly.

Was very nervous about buying this as it is the first time ever I have attempted to fit oneIt was great, looks fab and fits perfectly. There were no instructions with it, but really, it is so easy they would be a waste of paperMake sure you measure properly, and go for it

WELL MADE with two sections with metal flaps one inner, one outer ! I only used the outer section, keeps the wind and rain out. the inner section can also be used outside if needed.
