A Hug in Toy Form
This Wild Republic orangutan plush is the kind of soft toy that makes you wonder who’s enjoying it more: the kids or the adults. It’s cuddly, charming, and has just enough personality to brighten up the day. Pros: Ridiculously Soft – The fabric is wonderfully plush, making it impossible not to give this orangutan a squeeze every time you walk past it. Even our little one is fascinated by the texture. Realistic Yet Cute – The design strikes a perfect balance between being realistic and utterly adorable. The long arms and expressive face give it plenty of character. Great Size – At 30 cm, it’s just the right size for kids to cuddle without it taking over their bed. Cons: Loose Fur Strands – A few loose bits of fluff came off at first, which isn’t ideal around babies. After a quick shake and some supervision, it wasn’t an issue. Too Cute to Share – Let’s just say there were a few debates over who this toy really belonged to. Final Thoughts: This orangutan plush is a winner. It’s soft, charming, and manages to feel both high-quality and comforting. Whether it’s for a child’s toy collection or just an excuse to relive your inner kid, it’s hard not to love. Just watch out for those loose bits of fluff early on.

Looks as sad as pictured (compliment)
Bought this for my boyfriend for our anniversary. He loves it! He has a perfect sad expression (the orang-utan, not the boyfriend) and is very soft and cuddleable. The plush fabric is very nice, but the fur is a little on the lower quality side. No shedding and no bald patches though. He’s weighted at the bottom and in his hands, so he sits very nicely, looking very pensive in the corner.

Funky Monkey Facts
Max the Monkey came home from school for a weekend about a month ago. My twins loved Max the Monkey, like, really loved him and Max came everywhere with us. He came to the park, he came to the birthday party, he came to church... We took photos, filled in the little book and when Max had to go back my boys where a little despondent. They trudged slowly to school. There were the beginnings of tears in their eyes. They held it together and later that night they asked me "Daddy, can I has a Max please?". No. No you can't. Max lives at the school.... but he did tell his friends Bob and George about the wonderful time they had at our house and look! They've come to stay with us! Yay! Bob and George are pretty well made. Bob has recently cut his arm because he was fighting a ninja robot dinosaur from the planet Iommi, but my 4 year old found it reasonably easy to construct a plaster from green sugar paper and masking tape. I may report back on how well the masking tape comes out of his fur when we take the paster off, but I have a feeling Bob may just be a monkey who always has a plaster, in the same way that Keith Lemon always has a bandage. There are some small signs of damage appearing at the seams, but Bob & George are firm favourites that are currently accompanying the boys on all their adventures (with the exception of the toilet of course) so I wouldn't expect any toy to particularly stand up to the regular punishment dished out by a rough and tumble 4 year old. However, I should warn you, this monkey has a habit of doing poo's and wee's all over the floor so you will have a lot of clearing up to do.

Nice plushie
It's a nice orangutan, especially as it looks like an adult one, to which there aren't many plushies of. Reason it's 4 stars and not 5 is the fur feels a little more course and synthetic feel than the other Wild Republic plushies which results in him feeling a little cheaper. Still worth the money though. Word of caution if giving to a small child; he seems to have a lot of loose hair that kinda sheds a lot at first. Be sure to get all the loose hair out first.
