I bought this rack for my early November road trip. I drove my Tundra from SoCal to Lake Tahoe and back, about 900 miles total. The rack arrived super fast in two days after I ordered it. Before buying I did a lot of research on “tire clamp” style racks and finally narrowed it down to this Young Electric one and 1Up. I have an Aventon and a Lectric, both together around 185lbs, so I needed something pretty heavy duty. 1Up was almost double the price for the same weight rating, so why not give this one a try first. Assembling it took me around 35 mins. If you have the right tools it’s probably doable in like 20 mins. The 24mm part is kind of a pain honestly. But once it was put together the whole thing feels super solid. I’ve used a lot of cargo stuff because I offroad pretty often, and this rack gave me a really overbuilt feeling right away. The clamp arms and the base that goes into the receiver are way sturdier than I expected. Loading the bikes was pretty easy. The only thing is you do need to measure your front wheel so you can adjust the red front-wheel holder to the right hole. It took me a couple try but after that its all good. Before hitting the road I checked all the clamp arms and used Rhino straps on the wheels, just in case. When I stopped in Bakersfield around 100 miles, to check everything, nothing moved at all. During the rest of the drive I checked a few more times and every time it’s still tight and secure. On the way back to LA I even removed the Rhino straps to see if the rack alone can hold both bikes fine. And still totally fine when I got home. For the price which is literally like half of the big brands Im honestly surprised at how good the quality is. It carried my 185lb of ebikes for the whole trip without any issues Cons: The rack is heavy. Around 90lbs. If you ride solo and need to take it on/off a lot, it’s gonna be a bit annoying. And the ramp makes some noise on bumpy road parts because it’s only held by one quick-release pin. I just added a strap to tie the ramp to the base and that fixed the noise for me

The Young Electric E-Bike Rack with Ramp is worth every penny. Loading an e-bike used to feel like a full-body workout, but with the built-in ramp it’s smooth and effortless. Works well -- very solid and has no problem with my 80 lb e-bike. I recommend it. Having a ramp is great; however, the company didn't state that the ramp ships separately from the rack and may arrive on another day...this was confusing. Assembly was reasonably easy; however, some parts were very tricky to install, as other reviewers mention. The president of the company should try to assemble his/her product to understand what customers go through and improve upon some truly dumb design decisions. Note: the rack is very heavy so some may find it difficult to align in the hitch if done solo.

Used it for the first time 2 weeks ago for a long road trip with my new cross Road ebike, very impressed on how sturdy it is,very stable. My bike traveled even at 75 to 80 miles per hour, very easy to load, and unload bicycle even for an old man like myself :-) had to contact customer support and they were awesome!

Easy to put together and install with just a few wrenches needed. Holds the weight of both of our ebikes (65 lb each) well without a lot of movement while driving. Folds down and we can fully open the tailgate of our truck. Folds up with a decently low profile when we don’t have the bikes to make parking easy. Overall glad we went this route for an ebike rack! I like the ramp to load the bikes, my husband finds lifting them in to be easy enough as well. Straps are easy to use and hold the bikes securely.

Love this. Bikes are heavy 88 lbs. Each and bulky so this made it so much easier to transport plus u don't have to remove it. U can still open ur hatch with this on place and even with bikes still on it. Its built very strong. It even has a ramp so no lifting the bikes. Its a definite buy with no worries

Very solid, and doesn’t wiggle like by previous bike carrier. Made heavy duty! Easy and fast to strap on and go! Love it, and feel confident with it carrying my 2- 70# e-bikes! Only negitive I can come up with is, it is a bit heavy, but well worth the confidence it gives you knowing it will not break and leave your bikes on the road!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I went with Youne Electric because my buddy bought one to haul two 80lb eMtbs around, and I liked the carrier. It is a solid, well constructed bike carrier with easy-to-fold up/down capabilities which is nice. Not too heavy either. Once the kingpin is ratcheted into position, this bike rack DOES NOT MOVE. The strap system is easy to use, durable & effective at locking thr bikes securely in place. Your high priced bikes aren't coming off on a bumpy road if you strap them down correctly.
