Great value if you can wear the size
Great watch, providing you have a wrist of at least 7 inches. I was missing a gilt watch from my collection and this is perfect. It's the largest size I could have but I have paired it with a two tone bracelet and it looks superb in my opinion.

Best value watch in the world?
One of the true watch bargains in the world! Sounds a touch over the top? Not a bit of it. A superbly well built stainless steel watch, made by one of the most renowned watch manufacturers, Casio. Millions of timepieces are made by this manufacturer, from the £10 digital classic F91W, probably the highest ever selling digital watch, ever, to G Shocks costing in excess of £8000! This dive style watch is rated to 200 metres water resistant, which I have no doubt it will achieve. It has a three year battery, with replacements that can be bought for well under a pound and very easily swapped. The machining of the case is of a standard expected well beyond its price. The case has a screwdown back and crown and the dial is finished to a very high standard with a gorgeous subtle radial texture. Although the stated total dial and bezel size is 44mm, which might sound big, it wears well for most, due to the relatively short lug to lug distance of 49 mm. With classy polished sides and brushed upper case finishes, this watch can be dressed up with a quality classic strap or dressed down with a canvas or silicon curved end band. To finish off, I’ve found that this great dive watch is ultra accurate. I received mine on the 7th October and it’s gained just one second, today, the 16th December……incredible. Incidentally, this watch is known as a dive ‘style’ only due to the fact that to gain full Diver watch qualification means that every single watch produced, has to be tested to ISO 6425 certification. Even Casio can’t sell a watch that costs approx. £50 and still make a profit whilst carrying out these tests. There are many ISO divers out there that will never take the abuse that this little gem can. If you’ve ever had this watch on your shortlist, just buy it, it’s fabulous and it has a great following all over the globe.

A good solid Casio budget dive watch you can trust
I’m a watch collector my favourite watches are divers. I have 21 Invicta automatic pro divers which are all fantastic budget watches which have not let me down over the years! Also have a few other more expensive other brands! Because this one is quartz it put me off buying it for a long time, but I’m glad I did so! The price was cheaper than any of my other divers and the colour way I liked. It looked big and bold to read and was very accurate one or two seconds a month with my one! It’s certainly be accurate with in 15 seconds a month at most with yours! So it’s a pick up and go watch! It has a screw down crown like all dive watches have. WARNING! You have to remember to screw down the crown after setting the time or date to keep out the water which is up to 200m It’s a big watch though not very thick, those with under 7 inch wrist it will look oversized! The only other thing is that the lume doesn’t last long only a few short minutes! For the price you get a well made watch.

Love the looks!!!
Likes: Amazing (watch) build quality & excellent value for the money - under £60 at time of purchase: late Oct' to Early Nov' 2023 - if it holds up to MY use over the lifetime of the battery AT LEAST TWO YEARS I hope. LOVE the Shiny Blue Dial, & style of thbeliev shed lumed hands. The Seconds hand DOES line up properly as far as I can see on ALL of the sec/min markers - except for 1 or 2 between 7pm & 10pm. Light weight - you barely know it is there (that is good for some, but maybe not others), which I LIKE in the case of THIS watch because I will NOT be using as a 'Dive' watch. It looks 'too nice' to ruin it doing that. DISLIKES: The BLACK rubber/plastic strap that it comes with - removed with minutes of trying on, even though it felt 'sort of ok', but no thanks. My comment HERE is about the look & fit of the original strap, not the 'quality' of its material. I will be keeping the original - just in case, like with ALL my 'originals'. ONLY 5 of my watch collection still wear the 'originals' (including a titanuim bracelet on one watch), since there are currently no good or better alternatives available. 16 watches have BETTER fitting for ME (& I hope long lasting) & certainly more comfortable alternatives fitted, including on THIS watch. While the seconds hand is quite nice as it is - a large arrow - it would be nice/better to have a RED version of it as that would stand out well or better against the dark shiny blue dial. For a 'dive' watch the lume is utter rubbish, so don't believe anyone who says it is ok for 'swimming'. It is so dim you would need 'Eagle Eyes' with its Ultra Violet & Infra Red Night Vision Goggles to use it successfully diving. But it is less than £60, so........whatever. Would be so much better with SAPPHIRE Glass instead of cheap mineral glass. To Casio I would say (they would not care though probably): Include Sapphire Glass & Lume that actually works. Do NOTHING else to the watch (return the Marlin Logo on CURRENT models that do NOT have it), except MAYBE inprove the stiffness of the bezel clicks - make it STIFFER so as not to move in use. KEEP the '200m' WR Double the price (to about £120) & it would still be good value. Also include a steel bracelet option - with a divers extension & more than three adjustment holes on a MILLED CLASP, plus four or five removable links at each side of the clasp - & do NOT use 'folded' links - for about £40- £50 MAX extra, when buying the watch NEW. DUMP the '50m WR' model, not worth bothering with - a 'divers' watch needs a BIG dial, with readable lume, & a good WR level. That model has NONE of it.

Great everyday watch
One of my must worn watches. Looks a lot more expensive than it is and I’ve had quite a few comments about how good it looks. The biggest downside is the lack of lume which is why I’ve only given 4 stars.

The MDV106 aka 'Duro' aka 'Marlin' is a fantastic Diver from 'Casio'
The best affordable dive watch money can buy! The rubber strap is a beautiful design, very rugged and in good light the black even sparkles, inside is Casio's very reliable 2784 quartz movement that takes a SR626SW battery if ever you need to replace, the dial has a fantastic sunburst effect and dances in the light and the contrasting colours are gorgeous. Without a doubt my favourite watch that Casio has made and unlike the newer MDV107 this has the iconic marlin in the dial and caseback, the lume is fantastic with a pip at the 12 mark and the rotating bezel has a nice feel to it, screw down crown with hacking movement means you can precisely adjust time, Great value and was also delivered a few days earlier than planned! 10/10

Duro-tastic!
As a watch collector and someone who values "bang for buck" watches I've had my eye on the Casio Duro for a while. However UK retailers normally charge nearer a hundred pounds rather than the fifty bucks our American cousins get this for! So when Amazon had this for sale, at the quite frankly ridiculous price of £38, I swooped in faster than a gluttonous bird of prey with the munchies. Delivery: From the U.S the watch took around 9 days to be delivered. Tracking on Amazon was ok for the first few days, then nothing for five days, however as soon as it reached the UK the delivery update suddenly sprung into life. The watch was delivered by my local postman which was a bonus and last but not lest the tracking number provided by SEKO was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. Watch: So much has been written and said about the Duro so I will list the pros first then a few nitpicks. Pros: +Price +200m Water rating +Easy to read +Second marker hits the Second marks +Strap Monster +Stainless Steel +Marlin on the dial +Sun burst dial +Wears smaller due to shortish lug to lug Nitpicks: It seems churlish to criticise the Duro at the price of £38 but like all watches the Duro is not without faults. Of course a Sapphire crystal would be nice, as well as anti-reflective coating, but that could be upgraded fairly easily and cheaply. Also at 44m this is not a watch that will suit most people, that being said if your wrists are closer to 7 inch than say 6 inches, then you'll be fine as the Duro wears more like a 42mm watch due to the relatively short lug to lug. The supplied strap isn't great and it doesn't have the lume of a Seiko monster or a good mircobrand, like Zelos/Helm. The bezel also isn't the best bezel I've used but it does at lest have little to no back play unlike other more expensive watches I have owned. But hey this is a £38 watch with zero alignment issues, cough Seiko cough! This is the kind of watch you buy as a beater but with the right strap it can become a versatile timepiece to wear on different occasions with the added bonus of carrying an ultra affordable price tag. If you like Divers and don't possess wrists the size of a hobbit then buying this watch is really a no brainer and lastly for those brand snobs out there, you have no idea what you're missing!
