Sheaffer "VFM" Nickel Plated Trim Fountain Pen - Neon Blue

Used for college, I find this pen to be easy to grip and a pleasure to write with; Ink flow is smooth and reliable once the pen has been used for a while. The pen does tend to get through ink, though I do have a fairly intensive use case, with one universal cartridge lasting 2-3 days of note writing. The pen has also proved to be hardwaring, with me having dropped it in stones and it being left for 1-2 days; When retrieved, there were only small surface scratches.

Elegant pen, which writes well with excellent ink flow, in my experience. Light in hand it has a quality stainless steel MEDIUM nib that soon 'bends' to your style of writing. Presented in a cardboard box, it is a timeless classic that is 'Vibrant, Fun and Modern'.

Feels good in the hand, writes well (flatters my left handed writing!) and an excellent replacement for my lost pen

I have tried other brands, but have returned to Shaeffer, because of their superior reliability. This pen has a good strong colour for easy recognition. The shape and length is not the best for large hands. However as I shall only be using this pen for brief notes, I am prepared to comprise on that. The pen come with a medium black refill installed. The pen comes in a cardboard presentation box and would make a good gift. I have been using a blue version of this pen for several years and it performs as good as new.

Okay but extremely thin okay for small gands

It's a nice pen. A nice product in fact. I bought this for myself but it would make a lovely gift. However, as one other reviewer has pointed out, it doesn't fit the "standard" Sheaffer ink cartridges, instead it uses the "VFM" specification of cartridge. Both are available on Amazon. Just... However when I bought mine, the Amazon page showed that people had "purchased together" this pen and the WRONG ink cartridges. Naughty, naughty Amazon. I have loads of ink cartridges for my existing Sheaffer pen which don't fit this new one. I bought this one to use when travelling away from my desk, so this morning I've had to buy some new VFM ink cartridges. It's not the end of the world, they're cheap. But it would have been nice for this to have been specified somewhere. Perhaps it is and I've missed it. But for this issue I'd have given this pen 4 stars.

This pen offers excellent quality for the price. It comes well presented in a gift box with 2 ink cartridges in the bottom of the box. The pen has a weighty feel to it without being too heavy and writes beautifully. I didn't discover the ink cartridges in the bottom of the box immediately so inserted a WH Smith one which is a perfect fit. Can't recommend this pen enough for those wanting a low cost quality fountain pen.

The pen is fine. The problem is with the refills pack shown - Black ref: 96330. These are the wrong refills for his pen - they're too big. The correct refills should be Black ref: 93090. Unfortunately, these are difficult to find in the UK.

Excelente al escribir. No se resbala y se sostiene muy bien. La tinta fluye perfectamente y en la cantidad necesaria en cada momento. Bonito diseño. No hay que gastar mucho para tener una buena herramienta de escritura.

Nice Color. Elegant pen. A bit heavy for me but good size. Also the price was good.

Ein Schmuckstück von Kugelschreiber. Ganz aus Metall mit schöner Lackierung. Kommt in praktischer Aufbewahrungsbox. Gibt es in zahlreichen Farben - ideal für Liebhaber und Sammler. Werde wohl weitere bestellen.

Il refill è di pessima qualità, non è nero ma grigio. Il corpo è metallico ma la parte avvitata è di plastica quindi debole alla faccia del "robusto" aspetto metallico esterno. Troppo grossa. Colpa mia che non mi sono informato prima ma di positivo non ci trovo nulla.
