This is the time for wise people to stock up on an emergency food supply. The world is becoming more uncertain. I bought Heavens Harst and when it arrived I put it in the closet. I live in Topeka Kansas. You never know when there will be a run on food in the grocery store. Remember the toilet paper run. With a 25 year shelf life you can count of having an emergency food supply even if the electicity goes out.

This product came in on time and is as expected. I hope to never have to use them, but you never know…

I’ve sampled some, but I intend to stash away the remainder of my packets in their plastic container, in a cool place in my home. They will be saved for use in emergencies only. I haven’t sampled all the varieties of entrees yet, but have sampled enough to have realized a few things: I hope I never eat them. Why? Because it means I’ve never been in such a dire situation that I had no better option. If I do eat them, the concern about how delicious it is will be largely irrelevant at that time. Why? Because I will be desperate for food, and under those conditions, I would think that any edible food will be plenty delicious enough. It’s that, or find something else to eat (perhaps leaves, grass, berries) or else go hungry. I can’t think of any better option right now, for a back-up emergency food supply. So I will go with this, and take comfort in knowing that I have at least some edible food squirreled away for disaster situations. The 25 year shelf life is a key benefit. Some customers may think it important that there are no artificial preservatives. That's all good. But in a time of food desperation, I could hardly care less about preservatives, sugar, fat content, etc. In fact, I want it to be rather fatty and have high caloric content, in order to fuel my body for as long as possible. I don’t need to know the ingredients; I just need to know that it’s edible and will give good sustenance. The heavy-duty plastic bucket that serves as the container not only provides superb protection for the pouches during storage, but the bucket itself could be used to gather and hold water (rain, stream, or wherever it can be had) during a disaster. The only thing that I am rather displeased with is the fact that when I ordered it, I thought I would be getting 72 separate packets, not 12 packets with 6 servings in each. My mistake. But, there is half a chance that when disaster strikes, I may be eating this food myself or with maybe one other person. In that scenario, I’d rather not have to open a packet containing 6 portions, and then have to find a way to seal that packet to keep from spilling or spoiling. It would just be SO MUCH easier if there were 72 individual packets.

Initially, I thought I was buying separate MRE's. I made a mistake in reading the product description. When it arrived, I opened it up to find bulk packages of individual plate meals. It's still GREAT! EXCELLENT for emergencies. The food is dehydrated and requires adding water for cooking over heat but EXCELLENT to have in an emergency. I recommend NOT opening the seal of the bucket until you actually are ready to use - it in case your storage area floods, you have extra protection against mold inside the bucket. Not to worry if you do open it though. The bucket seals good and the individual food packages are perfectly sealed. This is an excellent buy if you live in flood zones/power outage issue areas and you have a secure storage area where water can't carry your food away. Recommend storing on shelf over 4ft high. Great if you have a large family to feed.

This is a great value and I love that it comes in an airtight container. Not sure about the taste as we’re hoping not to need it but everything looks good quality and is packaged well.
