This flag set performs it's purpose well. I found the pieces very sturdy. The 2ft x 3ft set is heavy in its carrying case. About 4 pounds heavier then your average C-Stand. Hire a PA or get a cart if you plan to lug it around :-)

The build quality on the frames seem to be pretty spot-on and have some good heft to them. The fabric on the thicker material seems to be pretty durable though some of the seams and the sewing is not very good. The sheer fabrics are questionable one of them even came torn at the seam So I'm going to have to figure out whether I should resew it or glue it. Overall not a bad product let's see how they hold up after some good use and the caring bag they came in is pretty sturdy too.

There's a lot to this kit. If you started to take your photography, especially studio photography, more serious, this is a very good addition.

Mostly I do wildlife/nature photography but have begun to try my hand at product photos and portraiture, as of yet my skillset in that part of photography is lagging behind. That being said, it is not for lack of some amazing equipment including this Scrim flag kit (getting lighting right seems as much an art as a science and albeit one I am slowly learning using these scrim flags and some NEEWER lighting mostly). These are easy to set up, use, and takedown and they give very good results. In fact, there are several videos online that give tutorials on how to use scrim flags and for anyone thinking about buying a set, I recommend you take the time to watch those videos as well so you can get a better understanding of what they can do for you. All that aside, I am very impressed by pretty much everything in the NEEWER line that I have tried, and it is quickly becoming one of a handful of go-to vendors whenever I am looking for new gear. I recommend this product and as I said, I recommend if you are just beginning in that part of your photographic journeys that you take the time to watch videos on how to modify lighting and maybe check out some of the books on it as well, but definitely consider this kit or perhaps the one with larger scrim flags.

This seems like a solid set, but the mechanism to hold each of the foldable arms in place is a joke. It does not "catch", does not "lock", does not "snap into place, it's just a slide and on all but one of the arms, the slide does not stay in place rendering these useless. The pin in my photo does not catch onto anything, just slides so the frames collapse even when the flags are installed, the entire structure relies on those pins locking into that slot and it simply does not.
