So, while I was in the hospital I needed up having an emergency Ostomy Surgery, and now have a permanent Ostomy. I Thank Heaven have NOT had C.Diff since I got out a year ago. HOWEVER, I ordered the BIGGEST CONTAINER of this stuff, because when ever my stool isn’t to my liking and gets too liquidy, I drink some of this & it sets things right in no time fast - like within 24hrs for me. I have NEVER had a blockage. I have NEVER had constipation after taking it. It’s supposed to be Banana Flavored, but I don’t really taste it. I saw there is a pineapple/banana & an orange flavor but I haven’t tried them yet. I probably don’t taste the banana flavor because I do not use a blender to mid it up. I just use about an inch of milk, dump the powder in stiit and drink. The powder does NOT combine well using this method *laughs* it is definitely gritty, but I still crunch and chomp it right on down! Because, You can’t argue with the RESULTS! It WORKS! And, I don’t fear I’m ingesting a bunch of chemicals like a lot of other medicinal items. Also, it’s Gentle enough that it’s hard to over dose Oneself, meaning it should be very dufficult to go from diarrhea to constipation! I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this product! There is a reason I paid directly for it & bought the BIGGEST Container available!! Since I have this Ostomy for Life, I NEED this in my Life to keep things Solid, regardless of what I eat or how my meds influence my output! BUY IT! = NO REGRETS!!

I want to tell you that this Banatrol really works. It does what it says it will do. It absorbs the water from the colon and helps to form a stool that is whole and therefore it stops the runny diarrhea. It also tastes great. Takes like mashed up bananas . It is a medical food that really works. Give it a try and follow the directions and take as prescribed and you will see a difference. So give it a try and see for yourself.

Tastes good and works

I went from daily diarrhea and a few blowouts that soiled my clothing, to as soon as I started using the product the bowel movements got firmer with no constoation. It's all about balancing gut bacteria. Now I'm having normal movements and I'm just taking a half a scoop a day to maintain. This product is a godsend I was wearing pads to cover my underwear and was afraid to go anywhere or eat anything and now I'm free. But the banana flavor tastes like yucky baby food so I use minimal water and choke it down thick, then I chase it with water to get tge taste overwith quickly.

Helps thicken stool. Tastes like banana. Very good product.

This really helped me while going through chemotherapy it really helped with the diarrhea from chemotherapy and it tastes like bananas.

I have tried Metamucil but even at low doses I had bloating and gas. Wanted to try something different so I purchased two containers of Banatrol. I am about 3/4 thru first container (used for over 2 weeks) and found that the bloating and gas is still present , even when adjusting dose. On the positive side, it does help with the bowel movement (solid/stable/regular) but for me at least , the bloating and gas were a bit too much. Product tastes ok and it mixes easily with applesauce and I also mixed in with my almond milk /cereal.

It works! It’s expensive but worthwhile if you’re suffering. The pricing here is the best i’ve seen, but still - from banana, which are less than $1/#. Just like with everything else, a little greed, and what the market will withstand.
