Great decking oil
I have a large deck area in my garden and a couple of years ago I decided to stain it a very dark grey with another well known decking stain. It looked great at first but peeled badly over the winter so last year I restained it but it peeled even worse.I decided to completely remove the old stain and start again which has been no mean fete so wanted more of an oil this time.I’m so pleased I used used the Bondtex Garden Greys oil. It was really easy to apply, I used a pad to paint it on. Because it’s thin it went on really well in a nice thin coat. I’ve done 2 thin coats and I’m really pleased with the result. Unlike the other stain I used this has soaked into the wood making it very waterproof and doesn’t look like it could peel.

Poor quality
Don't bother with this item, tried it on an offcut looks awful, not even the correct colour.

Good if you use it correctly.
I don’t get the bad reviews for this. It’s a quality oil. It does go on thin and takes a couple of coats but you have to mix it well and also mix whilst using as it is sediment heavy which will settle. The finish is lovely when done correct. Like a rustic grey wash. Have used it a few times on a few projects and very happy with results.

Definitely not driftwood effect
Poor quality product that is not worth the price. The oil and silver colour separate and its very difficult to get an even finish without ending up with sparkly silver streaks. Many coats required to try and achieve the appearance required.

Easily applied and a gave the finished appearance of weathered wood which I was looking for.
Very easy to apply on external new wood (larch) but did not have the coverage, of course, which it may have had on previously treated wood. Consequently I had to buy a second tin which was 33%more costly and didn’t quite match in finished colour.

Why not say it’s glitter pain
Went on lovely but nowhere on the tin did it say had a glitter finish so disappointed I now have a party table and chairs

Gloss with glitter?!
5 days and 5 coats later I can still see most of the woods natural colour (white pine.) messy and difficult to apply and far to much metallic compound and not enough colour. Basically looks like gloss with a bucket load of glitter added.Would work better as a gloss finisher, terrible as a wood stain or paint. Just takes too long, with too many applications with a poor disco ball result.

Nice finish (two coats)
The media could not be loaded. So the wood in the picture is a offcut of decking plank and it has two coats.I think it will depend on the wood I actually want to use it for a weathered lighter wood table so I think it will look lovely but the decking plank probably needs another coat to rally get the required effect.I actually found it nice and easy to apply as it’s oily but in thin coats (I used a brush)In all a really nice effect but depending on wood may require a second or third coat to really see that shimmer( unless I prepared it wrong obvs !!)
