Because I can't use a half a star at the end of the third
Don't know if 3 stars is appropriate, as there is nothing particularly wrong with them as of now. They just seem very 'inexpensively assembled'. Very light, kinda insubstantial with what appears to be a very minimal use of glue and virtually no stitching. Makes me a bit nervous , as my Giant spd's seem like a substantial, quantum leap in discernible build quality. Time will tell, but they are comfy so there is that. The ratchet system in particular seems rather flimsy.

The arch is comfortable and the construction seems pretty tough
I have shorter length feet, but they are wide and deep with a high arch. At first try the shoes were kinda snug for width, but after some manipulation there was room for all my toes. The arch is comfortable and the construction seems pretty tough. I wear a 10.5 running shoe and the 44 shimano fits good.
