Heavy on the guide element; very light on the recipe side.
I have to say I was disappointed with this book, having purchased it to give me some recipe ideas for my new Sous Vide.Firstly - It is heavy on the guide element. So if you are looking for a recipe book, then this really isn't going to tick that box for you. Yes - there are recipes - but they are very basic as the emphasis is placed on how to cook the different cuts of meat, vegetables etc.Secondly - It is well written, with decent images, but I'd say that with so much information available on the internet on the basics of cooking Sous Vide, I couldn't really recommend the purchase of this book as it doesn't bring anything new tot he table.I can see this being useful to someone who just wants a reference book handy, but I don't see it being anything more than that.

Best sous-vide book, period.
I have several sous-vide guides and cookbooks and I like them all, but this one is, in the words of Tina Turner, "Simply the Best". The book is, in part, a product guide to a model of sous-vide controller that you probably do not own, but don't be put off buying it as the advice given in the book is priceless.The explanation of the sous-vide process is clarity itself. There are charts for each type of food e.g. seafood, pork, beef etc. and these are so well set out and informative I can't think of a way to improve them.I have tried a few of the recipes and they have all been outstanding: try the pulled pork and you will never cook it another way again.

Reasonable recipes but not a reliable guide to safe Sous Vide
Over rated and not particularly accurate on matters such as safety of Sous Vide. Also information is rather superficial. Some recipes are quite good but forget the Codlo device and get a Sous vide cooker that circulates the water.

Some useful info in here but, on balance, I think it's over priced for a book that has limited content in terms of actual recipes.Feels more like a monthly publication than a book.

Bought for husband who bought himself a reasonable priced (around £100) Sous-Vide

Great book for people new to sous vide cooking
We're new to sous vide cooking and this book has been very helpful. The recipes are very easy to follow and you can build on top of them to come up with more elaborate plates. The winner for us so far is salmon. Aboslutely delicious.

This book is only an advert for CODLA
Very disappointed with this book which was not cheap and was really only an advert for CODLA. A very small amount of information and even less recipes
