Reluctant to bypass the actual cloudlifter, but seriously Tonor is just, as good if not better than more expensive models

It’s took me some time to review this as I like to test things out before I write about them.This Mic Preamp makes such a difference to the sounds & tones, it kind of clarifies your voice, a bit like filters for photos this is a filter for sounds.Very clever product that I’m happy to recommend.

On the whole this simple plug and play unit works well, you can notice a difference in audio quality without it but for everyday gaming streamers I'm not sure it's a must have item as when it comes to streaming the audio live I did notice a small amount of interference which granted, if pre recorded could be removed in post but as someone who likes to stream more live it's a bit of a trade off. You do get enhanced recordings but at a small cost. Price is decent and build quality I couldn't fault, for podcasts and voice over it does work very well indeed.

My daughter uses a focusrite and ableton to mix her guitar pickup and voice mic. The mic she uses is an XLR midrange one costing about £80. Previously she was cleaning up the mic input and adjusting gain as much as possible in the software. This has significantly reduced this step and the mic clarity is much improved.Works really well with the focusrite but I suspect any other analogue to USB interface will benefit (as long as it can supply the 48V necessary to power it.)
