How to fix the exhaust pipe and avoid the zipper from getting broken

Hello customer, Good days. Please use the locking strip to fix the exhaust pipe. Using this fitting it stays solid and avoids the zipper from getting broken. Can the window be closed fully and later opened when this is fitted?

Yes it can. We do this all the time when using the aircon. Windows fully close when this is left in place. Then when the weather cools we just take the fabric off leaving the Velcro on the windows ready for next year.

Does the 400cm one come with more material or just more velcro strip? If there is more material can it be cut down?

I have the 400 one. I assume it comes with more material than the 300. There's plenty of velcro for one window. Unless your frame is exactly 400 then there'll be a bit of excess hanging off a corner. I don't see how it can be as tidy as it looks in the marketing pics but it seems to work quite well

Is the zip opening and fabric size large enough to use with a 5.9ins (15 cms) exhaust hose?

UK fitting

For those wanting to know if this works for an outward opening UK window, the answer is yes, just about. The single piece fabric part is enormous. Stick the Velcro all around the outer extremities of the inner window and then do the same in a square around the frame. Stick the fabric to the window starting from the middle of the fabric (widest part) somewhere near the window lever/ catch. Then work round covering the inside crack that’s created when opening an outward window. It's important to get the fabric orientation correct as it's only tapered on one side. Try a different orientation if it doesn't work first time. There will be some overlap at the end but use more of the velcro to terminate it. Job done

Really easy to install (although instructions could be a bit clearer - found excellent online videos for clearer details). Once installed it does what it’s designed to by stopping air flowing back in and keeping bugs out.
