I’ve tried a lot of insect repellents over the years, and the Grand Tongo DEET-Free Insect Repellent with Picaridin is easily one of the best. I love that it’s DEET-free, so I don’t have to worry about harsh chemicals or that strong, unpleasant smell that usually comes with bug sprays. The Picaridin formula works amazingly well — I used it during a weekend camping trip, and not a single mosquito or tick bothered me. It goes on smoothly, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave that greasy or sticky feeling on my skin. I also appreciate that it’s safe for the whole family and doesn’t damage clothing or gear like some DEET sprays do. Overall, this is now my go-to insect repellent. We bought this product after hearing so many great reviews, and it truly lived up to the hype. We recently moved to an area with a lot of ticks, and at first we kept forgetting to spray ourselves. Because of that, we ended up with ticks hitchhiking on our clothes and skin, plus gnats constantly flying into our mouths and eyes. Once we finally remembered to use this insect repellent, the difference was immediate — no ticks, no hitchhikers, and the gnats stopped bothering us. The smell is pleasant as well. I’ll definitely be buying this again.

Moved to FL In 2020 and never tried deet free bug spray until going on a nighttime canoe excursion. Where has this stuff been all my life? If there’s a mosquito or biting gnat within 100 miles of me, I’m the one that’s gets bit!! Well not anymore!! This stuff actually works!! It doesn’t leave a greasy film, and has very little fragrance despite it being sandalwood/citrus. It has good lasting power too. I thought the mosquitos were bad in TN , they are giant size biting machines until I moved to FL. These mosquitos are so big and aggressive I saw one the size of a pterodactyl!! Well it wasn’t coming to bite me! It was like I didn’t exist, it kept on buzzing and never bit me Thanks to my Grand Tongo insect repellant!!!! “Noseums” no bite me now when I use this bug spray too! This stuff really works!

*UPDATE - I am revising my review and adding stars because I used the spray again and it dried just fine. It must have been the extreme humidity that prevented the mosquito repellent from drying and causing it to cling so heavily on my skin. It doesn’t feel heavy at all this evening. I really wanted to love this product. Mosquitoes love me and this summer has been 100 times worse than usual. I found that it did work exactly where I sprayed it, but did not keep mosquitoes away from spots that I missed, like the palms of my hands and soles of my feet. It also left a sticky residue that did not dry. The smell wasn’t bad but it just felt heavy and sticky on my skin. It could have been exacerbated by the uncomfortable humidity outside. I’m keeping it and I will try using it again when it’s not so humid but I don’t think I’ll be buying it again.

I'm sure it's fine but you use it once or twice and you use the small can up. It expels very quickly so I am disappointed in that. That and the price I will not repurchase. Dryer sheets still work great for mosquitoes, just rub yourself down like you're using a paper towel and you should be good to go. One of my neighbors said there were ticks in her yard but you're certainly not going do much with this tiny amount. It's nice to have a healthier version I just wish it wasn't only good for one or two uses

This spray will works. We used it pretty fast. The mosquitos were really bad this year. It felt good to use something more natural.
