Q: Bonded leather couch is peeling badly. What to do?

If your talking about the vinyl bonding peeling, that's what happens over time. In my opinion the vinyl renew is just cosmetic and can't take stress. Same thing happened to me :(

Q: a vinyl chair has begun to peel ,no tear thru the fabric. Will this fill in the "grain" part OK?

Not really. The leather are small patches. What you are doing is cutting the patch and gluing it into the tear. I didn't use the vinyl part of the kit. I used the fabric -- which is simply different colors of fabric fibers that you mix together to closely match the fabric weave. You then essentially apply Elmer's glue (that comes in the kit) and gently sprinkle the fibers onto the glue. It does work but you have to have a tremendous talent for being able to mix colors just like an artist would. I had a tweed sofa that had a very small tear in the arm from moving it. It actually did work. It would never work on a large tear at all. It took me several hours of layering the fabric fibers on top of one another to finally get a repair that the average eye could not see.

They are not very big. Around 3 x 3 or so.

Q: why does the picture show more than 7 rerpair containers?

It comes with several empty containers to mix the colors in.
