This flatware set is great for both daily use and special occasions. They're well made. They've got good weight to them. They are able to take some abuse without getting scratched. The only negative thing I have to say a bout them is they don't come with chopsticks while other finishes in the same style has matching chopsticks to purchase. This isn't a huge issue since Amazon has plenty of metal black chopstick options that look like they belong to the set.
