I’ve been a fan of William Warren for a long time (from afar). My company hired his company, Sketch Effect to illustrate a conference we did. He’s a pro with incredible business acumen. In addition he has figured out a way to monetize art, giving many artists a place to succeed. While I love the insight in the book, I find myself reading just to get to the next illustration.

I cannot recommend this resource enough for creatives and entrepreneurs that are considering starting a business! This book covers the fundamentals of business in a way that is super practical and digestible (and visually stunning)!

It's been my privilege to have a personal and front row seat to watching the wisdom shared in this book take shape through the real work William has invested over years: from identifying a fledgling creative passion, to considering how this love of art could fit into a contemporary and real-world vocation in a way that makes a difference in people's lives, from ideating a brand to learning to care for employees, building systems for client relations and more, this has been a transformative journey that William lived and breathed, and that we now get to benefit from. This is a joy to read, and I commend it to anyone looking to move from an adventuresome idea to a living and breathing actuality: in business, creative entrepreneurship, or even more broadly in life. A great book for a moment when many have ideas, but face a world where they wonder if those ideas can flourish. Pick this book up and gain confidence to take the next step!

Excellent illustrated book that applies to any business, and specifically spells things out for creative entrepreneurs. Instantly applicable, full of relatable stories, and inspiring case studies. Well done, and definitely recommend!

There are plenty of business books with great advice but William has broken down how to get started, get organized, and stay sane while maintaining a focus on what’s most important about you. This book was so well written and so well thought out - I only wish I had been able to read it when I was a young entrepreneur. I know the author's goal was to help creative people conquer their "fears" of business, and I can say that he achieved that greatly with this book. I'm going to be recommending it to all my friends who want to start their own business, have started their own business, or that simply want to improve their career.

William Warren has long been the "go to" person for creating visual elements that enhance a communicator's message. Now, he has taken all of the wisdom he's gleaned from starting and growing his own business and put it in an easy to read and understand book. This book is an excellent reading. I felt like I was having a mentoring session with William, where he was helping me with my dream but with a real plan and guide that I could follow.
