R2 and L2 fits not the top buttons.
I had trigger extenders on my controller. One of them broke off so I decided to remove the other one and my whole r2 button came off with it. After doing some research I found these and put them on my controller and replaced the springs as well.I do not know if I was installing it incorrectly, but I could not get the R1 and L1 to connect. After comparing the back of them to the original it does look like a different design. The R2 and L2 I replaced and they both fit without any issue. Would recommend replacing one at a time so then you can look at the original button to see how to set it up since there is no instructions. The material is sturdy and fits well. Feels good when playing I tested after installing with some Call of Duty.

Like other reviewers are saying
I would give these 5 stars, but I don't want to misrepresent the fact that these are NOT gold. Like other reviewers are saying, these are decidedly copper (or MAYBE an especially orange rose gold) Fortunately, I knew that when I purchased them and strongly prefer them over a conventional gold color. If you're familiar with taking apart a DS4 controller, you should have no issues installing these. The analog sticks just feel great to use, with a steeper concave surface to them that helps counterbalance the fact that they're slicker than the original sticks; a bezel adds additional texture and grip. The metal is smooth and cool to the touch, and everything fits perfectly. The D-Pad is a shinier than the sticks and feels closer to a plastic. In fact, I can't say I detect a difference between these and the originals--so installing them is primarily for their aesthetic value. So hopefully you like copper and/or rose gold!

Solid replacement
These triggers will definitely last. I have no concerns that they'll break in the same fashion as the original plastic ones.I wish this came with slightly beefier springs than the OEM ones. But these springs seem to be holding up well so far and it shouldn't be a big issue to replace them should they ever break.

Seriously. If you need new shoulder buttons for your PS4 controller, you should stop looking and buy these.
I don't usually go out of my way to write rave reviews, but I just had to stop by and state that this is a fantastic replacement set of shoulder buttons for the PS4 controller. I bought my PS4 used, so my controller already had a lot of "miles" on it once I started using it. The hinge peg on my L2 button broke, so the button was "sticking" down, and not returning to the fully off position. Quite irritating! As I was searching for replacement parts I found these. Honestly, I think they're great. They were a direct fit, absolutely no problems with installation. They come with nice new springs, so your old controller will feel young and fresh again! I am seriously impressed with the quality machining of these tiny parts. Look at the pictures of the underside, and you'll see what I mean.I chose the red, which looks awesome with the black controller. Buy these shoulder buttons if you are looking for replacements, you won't regret it! they don't cost much more than a new set of plastic buttons, and will last forever.

Great but not perfect!
The d-pad is painted with gives the finish a different sheen then the sticks and buttons but the color is there (the seller does state this in the description). The sticks feel good with grooved edges and a concave center. The machining did leave a little bump in the center of the concave that could stand not to be there. There is little difference from the stock DS4 sticks as far as movement and torque. The buttons do only have 2 of the available 4 slots to seat the buttons but do not wobble or twist any more than the stock buttons. The buttons are more proud from the face of the controller which give them more movement from the stock buttons. After a week of use I would say the mods feel and look good but could use a little polish to make it a perfect product. A machined aluminum d-pad would also be nice.

Metal Joysticks saved my relationship!
One of my beloved ferrets decided ALL of my game console joysticks were fantastic chew toys forcing me to replace the joysticks on every controller I own. (Lucky me!) After scouring the internet I decided to go with metal joysticks, (just try to chew on that you fluffy jerks!) and settled on these gold ones first. The color is true to the picture so it's really more a golden orange than actual "gold" persey but I like it. The d-pad IS plastic but the color is true to the rest of the set. PS4 controllers are very easy to mod in comparison to the PS3 (by far my least favorite console controller I've had to fix). Everything fits snug, when installed properly and you won't notice a difference in performance from the original plastic ones. The best part of having these babies is seeing my ferret's look of dismay as she realized the tasty tasty rubber was long gone. Thanks, E-mods, for having a quality product and making sure I don't want to murder my adorably destructive cat snakes.

Trigger is ok, but there is another flaw
I was tired of servicing my DS4 over and over for broken R2 (thanks Sony for the lamest design flaw) then I decided to go all in an make the triggers metal, just to see what happens.Well, no more damaged R2, but now the spring that pulls it forward breaks, so the failure point just went from the trigger to the spring. Still, the triggers are well made, solid and fit perfectly. Just have in mind that if you get it for the same reason that I did you will start to suffer from broken springs.

These are cool buttons, the sticks are good and don't slip
These are cool buttons, the sticks are good and don't slip. The only problem is the D-pas is cheap plastic and off color with the rest of the buttons. I'm sure there is a way to make it out of metal like the rest but not a big deal, if you don't like it you don't have to use it. The buttons fit well and aren't loose (not any more than the originals)If you've never taken you controller apart it might be a bit scary doing so, I had to do it twice because one of the buttons wasn't working, but that was my fault.

Good buttons, poor springs
The springs broke immediately after use, but they sent me new ones that are holding up so far. Buttons feel and fit good.
