Good machine at an excellent price, but should come with a full manual.
My kitchen layout dictates that I can't fit a 600mm depth appliance in the washing machine space, so this is one of the few machines that is suitable for me - and it only just fits! Bought to replace a 23 year old Bosch, which in turn had replaced a 21 year old AEG (when they were still German). I hope this one lasts as long. Have only done 2 washes and 1 drying so far but pleased with the results. Especially pleased with the price - John Lewis are asking £849! I find it quiet on the wash cycle but a bit noisier when drying, not really a problem though. As far as Mr Gasparo's "much trepidation" is concerned, I can only think that he has forgotten to remove the transit bolts or he has a faulty machine which he should return. I find this machine shakes less than the previous Bosch, but that may be simply because I've managed to level it a bit more accurately - it's essentially impossible for me to access the rear left foot when it's in position. On the negative side, although Amazon claim a 5yr manufacturer warranty, you have to pay for more than 2 years and it's the usual D&G rip-off - for me just not worth it. The detergent drawer feels a bit flimsy after my previous machines, but time will tell. My main criticism is that the "Manual" supplied with the machine is almost useless - it doesn't explain how to access most of the settings and features, not even "what to do before first using"! This info is available in the manual downloaded from AEG (be prepared for a large printout), which I discovered on searching. Just not good enough AEG!

All washed out…
Overall good washer-dryer. Not as many functions or options as I’d have liked, but capable given the keen price point.

A good purchase
Very pleased with this purchase. I’m still navigating through the settings as the instructions were very basic and didn’t explain all I needed to know but I feel sure I’ll get there. The washer is good even on the time saver mode and the dryer is a little noisy but not unbearable. Overall I’m very happy

Well Built, Packed with Features
This is a thoughtfully designed and well built product from AEG (owned by the Electrolux group. The machine is very easy to use with intuitive functions and accurate time readings. Coming to the primary objective of a washing machine, this washes clothes brilliantly, is good at removing stains, and leaves clothes clean and fresh. The drum is gentle on delicate items and has a variety of programs for a wide range of clothes. The washing programs are very energy efficient, especially when hsing the eco cycle, using just 0.4KW for a full 8kg load (less than 15 pence at current UK energy costs). The dryer also dries particularly well, and the sensor is accurate which prevents damage from overdrying. I love how convenient it is to run the wash and dry cycles together. It can handle heavy items like towels easily. AEG make the best tumble dryers in the business so this is no surprise. However, the drying cycle is a lot less efficient since it uses condensor drying technology (rather than heat pump) Considering the high built quality, and washa and dry functionalities, the machine offers incredible value for money. Pros: Brilliant washing cycle Well built Good variety of programs Convenient drying cycle Easy to use Incredible value for the price Cons: Drying cycle is expensive to run (not energy efficient). No program for large items like duvets.

Quiet & efficient with large capacity..EcoSave is good option if got the patience.
Very pleased as it's very quiet - I like the feature of auto weight detector with an estimated time for the program to be done depending on the amount in the drum. Drying large items such as duvets, I found the auto program not accurate, and needed more time to dry completely, but just clothes on its own is perfect on the complete cycle. On EcoSave mode (5kg max washing & drying) took approx 6 hours. Can cut by approx 1-2hrs by turning up the power mode. No wifi, but the machine switches off automatically, approx 5mins after program completed, so in theory it can be left alone as it will take care of itself - I would not leave unattended unless just on washing mode. AEG seems reliable with 2 years guarantee.

Does more than I’ll ever need but definitely worth the money
Living in a flat with no garden I got sick of having a clothes airer out so much of the time. It’s got more settings than anyone could ever want but is easy to program. Adjusts the washing time depending on how much you put in it. Very quiet (the spinner obviously makes some noise but far quieter than my old one). Can’t really hear it unless I’m stood in the kitchen. They try to upsell the extended warranty quite hard but as it’s a premium item I hope it will last far longer that the 2 year free one, and if you do buy the extended one you’ll have paid the price of replacing it two years into the extended warranty.
