Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World

Excellent edition with a hardcover and large-format maps on top-quality paper. A notable feature is that nearly half of the atlas is dedicated to an index of geographical names. The atlas is more informational and reference-oriented, containing general geographic maps. It doesn't include thematic maps such as climate or hydrography. However, as a gift edition, it's an excellent choice.

Interesting population, health, ecological and other ancillary data graphics. Well organized with whole world maps directing one to specific regional or more detailed pages. Good colors and typeface. I couldn't ask for more in this size volume.

The original shipment was lost but reported delivered. I notified seller, who ordered a replacement and had it sent to me. It arrived in less time than expected and in perfect condition. Excellent product and unsurpassed service. MOST highly recommended!

This was an early Christmas present for an erudite family member. She has been ecstatic over it. The quality is excellent and there is a lot of fascinating data in addition to the geography. No complaints as of yet. She is going to write her own commentary and I will add that later if it seems useful to share.

Porque me encanta la geografía

It is a single large book with a slipcase. For $200, I expected it to be in perfect condition, but the slipcase was slightly damaged, probably from the poor packaging. My wife loves the atlas though.

So I bought this to replace an old outdated atlas that was given up in a recent move. The atlas itself is great, easily five stars in terms of content, legibility, all that. That said, I had to knock off three stars. One for the cover, the product images don't quite capture how jarring the sickly neon of the cover and slip cover. Another for the dedication to "His Majesty Charles III" (barf!). And another because either the publisher or Amazon took so little care in processing and shipping that it arrived pretty dinged up. There wasn't any visible sign that the shipping box was mishandled, so I'm assuming that this is the condition that it was in during fulfillment. The inside of the atlas is still great, but when you're shelling out this kind of money, it would nice if the outside looked nice too. So, in conclusion if you're looking for a very nice (but maybe slightly impractical) world atlas, this one is really nice, maybe just order from someone else.
