These hard pastels actually go on paper smoothly and provide great details. They actually are buttery soft but lay down good pigment. I would definitely order again but set will last for years!!!

These pastels are fantastic. They give nice clear edges and go down better than other well-known hard pastels. A bonus is that if you add water they almost go on like paint. Well worth the money and shall definately buy again. A joy to use.
