Concerned Install
I ordered this drive belt to perform some preventive maintenance on my Polaris 325 Magnum. The existing belt was still working but I had never replaced it. The new drive belt came packaged well with shrink wrapping to keep it clean. After taking the cover off and removing the old belt I began to compare the old belt with the new. The new belt has ribs on both sides of the belt compared to the old which is smooth on the outside. The 2nd thing I noticed was the ribs that were flatter on the new belt is the outside whereby the old is the opposite with flat ribs inside. The new belt did not come painted with directional arrows for correct rotation direction. Comparing the width the new belt was about 1/8 inch wider, which before installing I assumed was because it was new, and the old one was worn. After install I could immediately tell this new belt was possibly too tight. I decided to leave on and give it a try. The new belt is so tight that it engages enough that when you put the ATV in gear and idling it will start to pull away without giving it throttle. The belt is tight against the clutch enough that it is squealing a little also. I drove the ATV around for about 10-15 minutes without issue, but I have to hold brake to keep it from rolling while idling. I am hoping it will stretch or wear down quickly because I'm afraid if may get hot and cause issues. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be ok, but I am concerned.

Does not work
Don’t buy. Replaced my Polaris Sportsman 400 belt with this one. Now when in idle and in gear it will creep. Can’t shift gears when running now. Belt is too wide. It’s about 1/8” wider then old belt and slightly smaller in dia. Too tight.

Bad Belt!!
Within 5 minutes of new belt installed, the belt snapped and got wrapped up in clutch. DO NOT BUY THIS BELT

Belt shredded after a couple rides and destroyed top of clutch cover. Some of these after marker belts are trash
