Bought this printed circuit board (PCB) to attempt repair of a Maytag refrigerator (model MBR2256KES2). There was no cooling in the refrigerator section but the freezer was working fine. Received the board, swapped it with the board in the refrigerator, set the code per the easy to follow instructions, and found the refrigerator began operating normally. The hardest part was getting access to the PCB in the refrigerator. In this model, a straight blade screwdriver is needed to push into two slots on the rear face of the plastic cover to release the plastic clips holding the plastic housing in place. Pull down on each rear edge of the plastic cover as pressure is put on the retention clips via the screwdriver.

This is one of those products for which there is a wide range of pricing. Given the combination of low cost and positive rating, I figured this could serve as an inexpensive diagnostic tool, certainly way less costly than calling in a professional repair. The problem was that my fridge, while cool, was not cold, and temperature adjustments made no difference. Installation and programming of the part turned out to be relatively easy, and immediately solved the problem. With luck, it will turn out to be more durable than the original. I strongly recommend consulting a repair video or two to learn how to access and program the board. Recommended without reservation.

this control board was just the right part I needed . the price was WAY less expensive than buying from Whirlpool. over a hundred dollars difference.
