Fissler Clippix Hook-In Spatter Shield - Premium Stainless Steel

I bought this product as a splatter guard for my fry pans. It was hard to find a good quality, well made and durable item. So I took the plunge, spent the few extra dollars, and have no regrets. The quality is outstanding. And the top handle is brilliant. Made of high quality steel that washes clean after each use.

I use this shield with a Caphalon 10 inch stainless steel fry pan on a gas range. Although it doesn't attach to the handle like it would on a Fissler pan, it still works fine to stop bacon grease from splattering. I bought this because it was made in Germany and not China. Goes into the dishwasher for easy cleanup. The handle gets hot, so I use a silicon handle-cover with it. I would definitely recommend it.

We love Fissler products (see my review on their can opener, and skillets). This works perfectly on the larger Fissler skillets. My husband cooks bacon every morning, and was making quite a greasy splattered mess. This screen works so much better than the wire ones, and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. It rests on the handle of the skillet when you lift it off, and all the moisture drains right back into the skillet. The wire spatter shields went to recycle bin.

I have two spatter shields. One is a Calphalon 13 inch and this one. Basically do the exact same job. The fissler is made much better but you pay for that. If you own the Fissler Crispy fry pan which is amazing then you have too buy this. It fits perfect and clips onto the pan so you do not make a mess. This thing is made so well that I would say it will last forever. The added bonus is this may also fit your other pans. I only recommend this if you own the Fissler. If not there is no purpose. If you do not have the fissler Fry pan you are really missing out. If I was only allowed to own one pan then I think it would be the Fissler fry pan. I just purchased this pan and am still in shock. Cast Iron Pans? See ya wouldn't want to be ya.. I will only use my cast iron if I need a larger pan. So yes this shield is probably the best on the market but the Calphalon does the same thing for a lot less money.

I’m was so very surprised at how well this splatter screen works!!!! Fantastic!!! I had one of the cheap screens before that I had threw out because it didn’t work at all. This one is just great!!

I bought this thinking I was buying a splatter screen that as made in Germany, because the listing states three times that this product is made in Germany. When I received it, however, the box states that it is made in China.

I love most Fissler products. This splatter shield is not quite as large as I was anticipating. I have the Fissler Pro 11 in (measured it as 12 in) fry pan. It does fit (barely) on the pans due the hook hanger resting on the pan edges. It really looks cool and is definitely sturdy. However, what I noticed is a lot of condensation under the shield so when I raise it, the moisture ends up in the grease and voila, more splatter. I also see moisture and grease on the top side by the holes. I have not noticed a lot of grease escaping so that is a good thing. Oh, and the handle definitely gets hot so I use a hot pan holder. I guess the last thing I can mention is the handle does make storing this a bit cumbersome as it protrudes.

Works great for cooking filet mignon, both searing on stove top and finishing off in the oven. Just what we were looking for.Easy to clean. Fits over all our pans.
