FINALLY!! One that works!!
This is I think the 5th one I've bought in the last couple weeks, trying to find a solid replacement for the one that just broke. I kinda liked the one that broke, but it had a shortcoming that made me not want to buy it again. My pickiness is partially just my preferences, but also partly the challenges of my specific application. I bought this for my 2016 Mercedes E350, so if you have one of the versions of that car then hopefully this helps you.My last one of these gadgets worked okay, but it didn't have a tightening mechanism on the collar around the ball adjustment thing that lets you aim the holder whatever direction you want it. Without the tightening mechanism, it started out okay and then slowly lost tension over time until it really didn't do a good job holding my phone up reliably. And then the collar cracked and it became useless. This one about which I am writing this review has a tightening mechanism on the collar that seems to hold the ball snugly in place. Score one for this thing!Next, the particular fitment of my car causes issues with these CD slot devices. The power button/volume knob is directly below the CD slot and really needs to be at least somewhat accessible. So that eliminates many of the contenders since many of them have the really wide bases that fit in the slot. The wide ones won't work because they pretty much all have the slot tightening mechanism that is a large plastic key you use to turn a screw that widens the teeth to hold the whole things in place once you get it in the slot. The large key/screw thing on the bottom is a showstopper for this car since it would block the power button/volume knob. This one about which I am writing this review is the narrower size. The teeth that fit in the CD slot are a total of about half the width of the larger ones you see advertised on Amazon and elsewhere. The narrow ones work in my car because you can install them to the side of the CD slot and it leaves the button/knob open (see picture above). It isn't centered though, so that might offend people with more OCD-ish sensibilities. If it does then basically you have to find a different phone holder solution because you can't use the CD slot. Many of the narrower CD slot phone holders use a convenient button you press to squeeze the spring-loaded teeth together while you insert the device into the CD slot. My last one was like that and it worked just fine. This one, however, has a manual tightening screw on the top which actually was slightly difficult to tighten because this particular car has a trim piece right above the slot that interferes with the turning (see the other picture above). I thought for a minute I was going to have to go looking for a different device again, but it ended up working fine. I was able to tighten it to where it holds just fine.Oh, and some of the other ones I bought in the past week or so had magnets that just weren't strong enough (in spite of their claims). One of the ones I bought was absolutely perfect for all my car's eccentricities, but the magnet was weak enough that my phone would slide around. I have a case on my phone but it is relatively thin so it really shouldn't have been the problem. I tried several different flavors of metal inserts (I've got a million of them since I've bought so many of these phone holder things recently!), but it didn't matter, it was just a weak magnet. This one about which I am writing this review, however, has a wonderfully strong magnet. Strong enough that I actually wondered if the teeth holding the whole thing in the CD slot were going to be powerful enough, but they are. The whole thing sits very snugly in place and I'm very happy with it.As I said in the title -- FINALLY!! One that works!!If you have a post-facelift W212 Mercedes, I can highly recommend this one. Or if your particular car doesn't require this level of pickiness, I imagine you'll love this thing too!!

Perfect in every way for me!
Exactly what I hoped for!I had another CD slot magnetic mount for my phone, however, it had only spring tension fins to hold it in place in the CD slot. It didn't hold very tight and every time I tried to pull the phone off the magnet, the whole mount would come out of the slot.I kept looking for a better solution, and all the other CD slot mounts seemed to have the wide fins. I wanted something less dominating, and without a long tightening screw that looked cheap to me.This has the small profile, compact wing nut, and holds in place VERY securely for me in my Lexus RX. The magnets seem very strong and hold my phone very well. I wasn't sure if it would fit the bill for me when I ordered it, but I'm very happy with this. It checked off all the boxes for me and I'm happy!

Great alternative to vent/dash/windshield mount
I've used a few different mounts in my car. My favorite has always been magnetic mount since they are the easiest to use, take up very little space, and hold the phone securely. My previous magnetic mount was the one that goes in your vent. while it held the phone very well and study, it also blocked the vent and in the winter, the phone would get hot from the heat. This was ok in the warmer months since the A/C would cool the phone down, but the heat is not good for the battery and electrical internals. Unfortunately, my iPhone 11 Pro Max weighs more than my old phone so the vent mount was not going to be able to hold the phone up. It kept sliding down till it eventually dropped. The OQTIQ mount has more magnets, is mounted in my unused CD slot, and is about 1.5-2.0 inches away from my vents. This is a bit further out than I'd like, but also makes reaching my phone easier when I need to answer a call or enter navigation while stopped. Having a big phone mounted on a mount that sticks out means it is going to bounce a little bit when you're driving which I hated when I had my windshield mounted phone holders. My iPhone 11 Pro does bounce slightly when driving around, but the phone stays put on the mount! Being a heavy phone, I was worried it would slide down but it stays put!The question I had when looking for a magnetic mount was if it was strong enough to hold the phone when the metal plate was placed inside a case since sticking it outside takes away from the look of the case. I am currently switching between two cases and happy to say it does hold the phone with the metal plate inside the case. Even holds it when the case is liquid silicone which has a more smoother feel similar to the apple silicone case. I also have a magnetic ring phone holder attached to the back of one of my cases. I knew this would work but didn't know if it would slide down given a smaller area to attach to but it does not.Pros:-Holds the iPhone 11 Pro Max securely even with a case on [magnetic plate inside the case]-Good quality materials-Easy to mount in the CD slot-Brings the phone closer to you and away from the vents-Easy to adjust-Relatively stable [phone will bounce a little since it is mounted away from the base]-Lifetime warranty [The instruction booklet inside states lifetime warranty which most do not offer!]Cons:-Sticks out a little more than I like from the dash-Phone bounces a little when driving since the magnetic base is not close to the mounting partI would recommend getting this as long as your CD player slot is big enough for the "fins" to get into. It holds heavy phones like the iPhone 11 Pro Max well despite it bouncing slightly when driving. Also, the lifetime warranty is a nice bonus in case the fins that hold it inside the CD player slot ever break.

Excellent phone holder
Excellent product! I needed to replace a very old (and broken) CD mount phone holder and this one is terrific. I am very happy with the quality, the ease of set-up and overall size of the mount. So many mounts take up a LOT of dash space, but this one is compact, has a 360 deg swivel and very strong magnet. Also, the CD slot adapter is very easy to use and adjust with a nice -sized swivel knob. For the money - this is a great item and I would absolutely purchase it again.

Strong Magnet, Design Needs Work
This is a very strong magnet and it holds a large iPhone (15 pro max) well. The magnet is strong so eventually it pulls out the mount from the CD player. Not sure how to fix that 🤷🏻♂️. The mount for inside of the CD player has a piece of rubber that is falling off after a few months.
