The editing, and music was brilliant. This movie captures the blood and guts of a successful boxer: through a long successful career. I would never willingly fight this beast in a ring or anywhere else.

Love this movie! so glad they did it in black & white..I am a die hard De Niro/Scorsese fan so it's nice to finally add this to my collection.I have a question: what type of machine should I purchase to re-wrap DVD/Blu Rays to re-sell any idea?anyway thank you!!

I have been hearing about this movie for quite a while, so I finally went out & got it. I thought it was going to be about boxing-on point with Rocky, Creed, or The Fighter. What I got instead was a stereotypical abusive "tough guy" from New York, a ton of vulgar language, & Joe Pesci being Joe Pesci. The fight scenes are laughable at best. Generally, if I hate a movie half way thru, I don't continue to waste my time...but I forced myself to watch this in it's entirety...and my opinion was not changed...
