I'm not a farmer, but I believe a cow would brake this on day one. It doesn't have key hole slots for the screws, so if you mount it, it's permanent. No drain so it's hard to clean. The valve assembly can not be tightened enough to stop it from rotating an turning the water on constant. They should have put ridges in the bowl to keep it straight. On the plus side you can mount the valve on either side. I'll make a removable mount for it, epoxy the valve in place, and add a quick disconnect to the hose and I'll be all set. Also, the dog figured out quite quickly that if they splash it, the water comes on. So you have to mount it.

We bought these for our goats and dogs. Once installed they lean towards the front. Trying to set the float to be about 1/2 way full would not work. The water overflows all the time. We bought a different type and they worked great. Don't waste your money.

Tengo un Malinois y cuando me escucha que voy a salir en la moto o quiere llamar la atención destroza su bebedero, le había puesto cubos hasta de construcción, cubetas de metal, hasta que encontré este producto, lo conecté de la tubería con su llave de paso y listo, resuelto el problema, no lo rompe ni lo puede voltear.Tiene una boya que regula su autollenado. Verificar siempre que funcione.La única dificultad es que hay que fijarlo a la pared con tornillos, puedes usar un tornillo de anclaje o los que trae con tarugos.
