CCNP SWITCH Lab Manual (Lab Companion) 1st Edition

Good lab book, will buy the same lab manual for CCNP ROUTE and TBSHOOT. Most study guides/books by Cisco Press are pretty good. You will need to have access to live Switches/Routers to use this lab manual. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the hardware requirements to use this lab manual. The recommendations for lab equipment and configuration are a bit lofty. You may need access to some pretty high-end switches with high-end IOS to use this lab manual. They forget that not all people using this book have access to higher-end equipment.

It is ok, I do not think, it covers enough though. It is definitely a good one to have for preparing for certification but not a must. I believe there are better labs out there that are just for free if you look for them. I expected more out of this lab book. I give it OK

I used the CCNP SWITCH Lab Manual to prepare for the exam and I fell like along with the Official Certification Guide it gave me the tools and know how to pass the exam the first time. The first few labs are remedial, but as the book goes on they build and prove to be involved and somewhat complex (depending on your level of experience of course). If you are fortunate enough to have access to comparable hardware this is an invaluable resource.To those studying for SWITCH, don't buy into the negativity surrounding this exam. Study the technologies, master the theory and know how to plan, implement and troubleshoot them. Happy Studies!

Though this book does not coordinate with the online labs available through Cisco, it does a decent job of laying out some basic experience labs you should go through or be able to go through before attempting the CCNP exam.

This was used for my CCNP college course and did a decent job of explaining the material. I haven't taken the CCNP test so I can't speak on how well it prepares you for that though.

This book is OK, it gives you a good base of labs for each topic covered in the SWITCH exam but none of them are extremely advanced. Recommended for your first pass through CCNP SWITCH material

Good labs if you access to $1000+ worth of switches. Fortunately I do.Includes no simulator.Don't expect getting any value from this book unless you have access to the hardware.

Definitely did NOT contain enough material to pass the CCNP SWITCH exam. I had to consult other non-Cisco lab manuals in order to cover all of the required topics. I was actually surprised at just how thin this book was. The fact is, I'm not very happy with any of the CCNP SWITCH exam materials.

Very good, but pen markings on some pages but it is fine.

Für einen Preis von ~ 35 Euro bietet einem das Buch leider nur überwiegend simple Szenarien und schöpft kaum die Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten aus.Mit knapp 150 Seiten, in denen man überwiegend "show" CLI Auszüge zu sehen bekommt, ist das Lab Manual definitiv zu kurz geraten und kann nur als zusätzliches Material zum Official Certification bzw. dem Learning Foundation Guide empfohlen werden.Allerdings stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis NICHT!Auch in diesem Buch sind Rechtschreibfehler zu finden, dafür kaum inhaltliche Fehler.Einzig mir bekannter inhaltlicher Fehler in Lab 2.1:Step 13:ALS 1 arbeitet im Client-Mode, das VLAN 120 kann lokal NICHT deaktiviert werden!Auch der Status "suspend" kann nur von dem VTP server abgesetzt und somit in der VTP Domain verbreitet werden!
