I purchased this journal as a gift for my oldest son (11 yo) he’s been wanting one to write it but also has a passion for sketching and painting.LUCKILY!! this journal has the old school sketch paper in it which is thick enough that if he wanted to use oil base paints or water colors it won’t bleed through to the other page! Sooo nice !! You could even use quills and ink !Now I thought that the journal was gonna be a hard back bc of the wonderful craftsmanship of the leather design, but no! Which is good too!Bc it is flexable so he can bend it back and open it with ease. The design is soooo beautiful my son loves wolves and it meant so much to him!!The pages are bound together and woven into the cover with fine leather straps (I say leather but I am pretty sure it is Vegan friendly “leather”)The lock clasps are perfect to lock and hold easily!So good for gifting or keeping for yourself

This product is perfect. I bought one as a gift and one for myself. Nothing is more relaxing than smelling the scent of leather when sketching or writing. It's well made, sturdy yet soft and the pages are thick. I will be buying more when the need arises. So very pleased!

Beautiful cover ,but a little small..Love the leather,,great value for the money

This is a really beautiful notebook, everything made about it is great. It just arrived a little dirty, but it still is beautiful.

The outside cover and binding are good. Not too much odor to the cover. Some pages, only two, so four writing surfaces, were torn sith a chunk taken out. Also some minor dye marking inside otherwise unfinished inside cover. Small size, nice to handle. Actual paper quality is good.

This journal is a beauty. pages are good paper and the hand-carved work with wolves and Tree Of Life stunning.
