This is a high quality set that will last you a lifetime. Very glad to be able to replace pieces from my original set I got 40 years ago that were lost in a few moves. Slight difference is the handles have a matte finish. At first I didn’t like it that the match wasn’t exact, but now I like the difference - makes it a little interesting.

The pieces are nice and shiny, until you touch them, then there's fingerprints all over them. The size of each piece is large compared to "normal" utensils. The weight of each piece felt good.

I purchased this same Oneida silverware but not brushed finish almost 15 years ago and it still looks lovely. We needed additional silverware for our new home and I wanted Oneida again because it has a lovely weight in your hands and it looks great year after year. Amazon had even a better price than Oneida! I’m extremely pleased with this purchase and encourage you to consider purchasing Oneida if you’re looking for daily use silverware.

There is a fine gritty texture that is not mentioned in the description on this Easton model. It feels like you're holding 2000 grit sandpaper, so unfortunately for me it's something that would have bothered me for the entire life of usage so I had to send them back, kind of like when you rub your fingers on a chalkboard. It's a shame because it's a very nice handle design otherwise, I think if they just left the handles polished like the rest of the flatwear it would be better

I have an earlier edition of these where the handles are shiny. I was a bit disappointed that they made the change where the handles are not. The quality is just as good. It will just take a little getting used to the different look. All in all a great purchase.
