Q: Could this be used on a wool/ cashmere coat?

It’s designed mainly for shells and technical clothing. You’d be better off using a merino wash or something similar - grangers has a merino wash product too. However use caution, depending on the coat it might not be design for use with these kinds of products.

Q: does it work on walking boots

I have only tried on jacket and both the wash and spray worked well, you do need to tumble try after application to activate.

Q: Has anyone discovered a make of spray-on reproofer that is actually effective? I have tried quite a few and none seem to work very well

It beads water if you pour water/run water on the reproofed jacket, but would still wet it under shower for softer garments, works better for harder garments though. Overall, it works but not as effective as factory one.
