Yes and no. You can make soda in a whipping siphon with these. You can not make whipped cream. Use N02 for foams, etc

Q: I am considering buying a soda siphon. About how much soda will one cartridge make?

I bought a 2 quart soda siphon for a friend, and he uses it mainly for scotch and soda cocktails. He absolutely loves it. However, the 2 quart siphon requires that you use two chargers instead of one--the one qt. only needs one charger. Since the 2 qt. siphon is 64 oz., I assumed it made 64 oz. of club soda (fizzy water). However, he says that there is a fill line, so you probably get a couple of ounces less than 64 oz. with each new fill. He likes a lot of soda in his scotch, so by the time he adds ice to the scotch in a tall glass, and approximately 4-5 oz. of club soda, he thinks he gets a dozen or so drinks, which sounds pretty good to me. So, it depends on how much you drink per glass. If you are drinking it simply as "water," I would think you would get approximately 8 eight oz. glasses (less a couple of ounces that account for the fill line). He does recommend that you get the 2 qt. siphon, since it can be a pain in the neck to fill it every day. Hopes this helps!
