Terrific Shoe!
These replaced a pair of Merrell Moab GTX shoes which from day one where uncomfortable and started to fall apart within a year. I did lots of research on which shoes to replace them with. Keen NXIS won. These shoes are incredibly comfortable with lots of toe room, which means no more sore toes. The sole has a tremendous grip and feels like walking on sponges when on tarmac surfaces. I've stood in several streams to test the waterproofing and so far so good, but only time will tell. My normal shoe size is 7 but my research showed it's best to go a full size up, so I went for an 8 and I'm glad I did.

Very comfortable, but laces need a double knot
These are extremely comfortable walking shoes, with a nice wide toe area and quite a spongier sole than I've had in other Keen approach shoes, which makes them very forgiving underfoot. I frequently suffer from heel pain but found these shoes very comfortable indeed. So far they have only been used on a 10 mile walk, along mostly decent earth paths. The tread is much more pronounced than on an ordinary trainer and gave good grip on the steep parts of the walk. I suspect the spongy sole will have a shorter life than a more traditional approach shoe, but that's part of the trade off with the level of comfort. The shoes are very lightweight, the trade off being that they won't provide a great deal of protection to your foot e.g. if a rock falls on your foot you're going to feel it. I like the fact that these claim to be waterproof - although I haven't put that to the test yet. For me the main negatives are that the laces work themselves loose unless you use a double knot, and they are rather slippery on damp tarmac and paving - they're much better on grass, gravel, earth, mud, where the tread can grip properly.

Very comfy wide fitting shoe around the toes
Delivered quickly and correctly and at the lowest price. Comfortable from day one, with plenty of room for your toes to spread out. Usually I had to buy shoes that were too big, just so that my toes were not squashed.

KEEN TAUPE WALKING SHOES
Very good comfortable keen shoes, look smart with lovely soul and excellent grip, good shoe lays and very soft interior, ideal for the feet. Love them.

Very comfortable for people with flipper feet
Very nice shoes, even if they do make you look like Noddy. But two issues I have after using them to climb Scafell Pike on a wet day. 1. Waterfproofing is not that good - Dont know what they use but seem inferior to Gortex. 2. Grip on Wet rocks was awful, ended up on my backside a couple of times . Really wish they had a Vibram sole.
