The search is over for Fender Bass VI strings!
I've been searching for good, punchy strings for my Fender Bass VI ever since I got the bass a few years ago. The stock Fender strings that come in the bass are quite floppy. They have a great sound, but the floppiness really turned me off to them. My next stop was a set of expensive La Perla strings made specifically for the Bass VI. Despite having success with other sets of La Perlas on other basses I found the set for the Bass VI to be rather dead sounding.Strings for the Bass VI are few and far between. They need to be long, in the correct gauges, and have small ball ends. I finally found what I have been looking for all along with this D'Addario set. They are made for the Bass VIcas the primary market, but work on barritone guitars and regular guitars that you would want to have quite a down tune on. On the Fender thee are great. Perfect tension, so it's easy to play fast and hit the notes you want with no buzzing. They also have a really good, bright, punchy sound when played through either a bass amp or a tube guitar amp.Highly recommended and will be my go to strings for the Fender Bass VI. Hey, they will probably also help your Squire sound like a better quality instrument.

Really good strings for a baritone guitar
I have the Harley Benton JA-baritone guitar, which has a 30 inch scale length, and I used the top strings (the 72-24) from this pack and then the 17 which came with the guitar to make up a full set and they've been great. A little light for the tuning I'm using them for (drop Eb), but for F they are excellent, and even E1 standard is good with them as well. The strings have a great length so you don't have to worry about them not fitting the guitar, and they last for a while as well so you won't have to worry about changing them for a long time.

Nice strings.
Nice strings, feel good under fingers and stay tuned pretty well.

They fit the SubZero Rogue VI Baritone Guitar (reverse headstock)
I was struggling to find strings for my recently acquired SubZero Rogue VI baritone guitar as it has a reverse headstock requiring longer than normal top strings, specifically the low E and A.I'm happy to report these strings fit nicely and sound great.

Give 'em a go I reckon
Great from A to top E.Very slack bottom E though (sounds palm-muted much of the time) but I've actually found I quite like it. It has a very early sixties/spag western kind of a vibe. Tuning up a tone or so, or bringing the action up a bit would probably help but I'm content to live with it for now.At about a quarter of the price of the only logical alternative I'd definitely suggest trying these, just don't expect any epic sustain down the bottom end (but then you're playing a VI, so your not really going to get that anyway)

froody
recently got a Squier Bass VI after years of wanting one and love it.some may prefer a heavier gauge on the low strings. i like these just the way they are...but i'm a guitarist...not a bassist. the low E can be a bit flappy but not enough to be a bother.great value compared to some of the other brands i have looked at and they last a long time.

Decent
Offer a rounder low end due to the heavier gauge compared to the stock strings you'll get on a Fender/Squier Bass VI. You will however need to file the nut (horizontally NOT vertically!!) To get these to fit properly. Decent choice for the price.
