Fits and works better than original eye piece

Comfortable and Effective! This eyecup for my Nikon camera works exactly as I hoped. It keeps out stray light, giving a clear viewfinder experience, and fits comfortably around my eye. Installation was simple and quick, too. A small upgrade that makes a noticeable difference when shooting — highly recommend!

Changing out the stock Nikon eyecup was a breeze. The flexible rubber works perfectly with my eye socket. Easily turns from horizontal to vertical orientations to support both landscape and portrait images. Plan to purchase a second Z8 as a backup in the future and would definitely purchase again. Highly recommended!

The eyecup is stiff and positions the eye too far away from the EVF, inducing a periscope view. Pressing forward to eliminate the periscope view, the viewfinder inhibited blinking; my eyeball immediately started drying, so I had to back off to blink. This may be an issue with the eyecup design, not this particular product; it was my first experience testing this concept.

I'm a left-eyed shooter, and this is very handy for blocking out excess light and distractions. I have one for my Nikon Z7 and bought another for my Nikon Z8. They can be rotated for right-eyed or left-eyed shooters.

Blocks light from the side Like I was hoping, easy to change

I've purchased two of these and won't be purchasing another one after the second one was lost due to it falling off my camera when being set down on a table and I didn't notice it. Worked well especially when shooting sports in bright light by blocking sunlight from shining in the viewfinder but a waste of money. Do not purchase.

D810を使用していてアイカップはDK-19を使用、Z7では同様のアイカップが純正では用意されて無く、アマゾンでJJCのアイカップを見つけ購入、撮影時眼にフィットし遮光生が高くファインダの映像確認は抜群に良いです。不満の点は材質が堅いことと、形状から縦位置にしたときアイカップを90度回転しないといけないことぐらいです。

Easy to swap and fits like a glove

A little work is needed for the Z9. Remove the existing eyecup and take the rubber ring off the back plate. Also carefully pry the metal retaining clip from the back plate. Dismantle the new piece so that the rubber piece is no longer attached to anything. Now the rubber cup will fit on the Nikon back plate and slip/ click into place on the camera. Voila!
