This is a really high quality brush. The other reviews mention it being softer than a standard dandy brush, but this is actually why I bought it. And actually, it's only a small amount less stiff, but it really makes a big difference. My rule is if it's too rough to run over the palm of my hands, it's too rough for the horse. Most dandy brushes have the same kind of bristles as toilet brushes and other household cleaning brushes, and that's quite frankly not something I'd want rubbed on my skin. In terms of being kind to the horse and still getting the job of a dandy brush done, I couldn't recommend this brush more.

This brush looks nice and the strap on the back is great for my husband’s hand. The brush really works well.

Bought this to brush dirt off clothing after work at the farm. I’m pleased with this purchase. My only issue is the bristles are not as firm as I had hoped. I might shop more hands on at a hardware store for this type of brush.

I hesitated to spend a little extra for a higher quality brush, but it definitely paid off! It's the perfect texture for getting ground-in dirt, or dust off. My horses even love for me to brush their faces with it. Definitely worth the money!

I did not care for this brush. It's not terrible, but it's not great. I ended up just leaving it at the barn and buying a different one for myself. Here's what I didn't like: - They say the bristles are natural, horse and/or pig bristles. I'm not sure I believe that, they look very shiny and artificial to me. But maybe they're just highly processed. - The brush is really big an clunky. I don't have small hands, but the brush is uncomfortable to hold and doesn't fit in my hand right. It takes away from the grooming experience. - The bristles are too long, so they just lay down when you use the brush. Kind of defeats the purpose of them being stiff. And on top of that they're not that stiff in the first place.
