Bruder 03760 Man TGS Garbage Truck

My 4 year old son loves this truck! The only problems we have had with it so far is he put sand in the back of the truck, which the directions clearly say NOT to do, and it partially jammed the mechanism for the compact gate that pulls "trash" into the back compartment.I put mineral oil in the suggested locations, after trying to rinse the sand away with water, which worked great. A few days later though we noticed that the sticker that displays the position of the gate had come off, and jammed the gate mechanism. I pulled the sticker out with a pair of needle nose pliers and everything is working great. Don't be dismayed by the cost of the truck, the parts and construction are of the highest quality that I have seen so far in a child's toy. I am no longer going to buy my son toy trucks from other brands, Bruder is the best. The 5 or 6 trucks that I would have bought from the brand names that I grew up with, which probably would have failed after some light use, pale in comparison to this toy.

It's his favorite of all the toys he received for his 3rd birthday. He loves to fill it with paper shreds and operate the compacting dial to push it inside just like the video shows. It's a very sturdy and well-made garbage truck with authentic details. We also purchased the light and sound module and 2 figures. Disappointed that there is no way to attach one of the workers to ride on the platform on the back of the truck, but our grandson is OK with both of them riding in the cab together. It's a little tricky to fit one in the driver's seat, but it can be done. Supposed to be able to see the truck's engine, but have not figured out how to do that yet. (No instructions or pictures on the box to help)

My 3 year old is enamored with garbage trucks. There is nothing in the world more awesome to my child than garbage trucks... That said, this was his 3rd birthday present. We had another Bruder truck, a blue recycling truck, which he adored and thought we'd get him a different one to play with. After buying 3 Tonka garbage trucks from Target, etc., they fell apart within weeks and the blue Bruder was the only one which sustained his horsing around! This is a very large and 'real' toy garbage truck. It has rubber tires, a hopper, a tailgate which opens/closes, two cans and provides about 30 min of blissful fun for him. Its been a great tool to help his dexterity improve by attaching the cans and then dumping them into the truck. Every child-- boy or girl-- who comes to the house loves his garbage trucks! Every parent now asks me where to buy these! Amazon!

These bruder toys are really nice. Problem I had with this one is the packaging was a little beat up and one of the mirrors was broken. Not a huge deal, but a deal when you spend that kind of money. It was for Christmas so there wasn't much time to ask for a replacement.

My son loves this garbage truck! I can see how other reviewers had problems with the compacting mechanism as it does seem pretty flimsy. The first day I just told my son that this truck cannot have toys or other hard things placed in it as that could break it. He has had it for several months now and plays with it everyday and it is still running strong. At first we used shredded paper which was an absolute mess. My wife found some felt and cut that into stripes about 5 inches long and 1/2 inch wide and that works great. The felt is extremely easy to clean up and my son loves it as well. I would highly recommend this truck as the compacting mechanism is really cool even for me as an adult.

I bought this expensive $80.00 truck for my Grandson who is obsessed with them, it didn't take long for it to break. The part that pulls the trash into the truck gets stuck and then eventually does not work at all. The first time this happened I was able to free it up and it was fine for a couple of days, then, it happened again and I was unable to fix it. My daughter called Bruder and for a fee, I think was about $25 they sent a replacement of the entire back end, well, it broke again! This truck is just cheap plastic junk. I definitely would not recommend this to a friend or and enemy for that matter, this thing has given us nothing but headaches and my poor Grandson is so upset because it won't work.

So far so good! I was a little discouraged after ordering this… it’s very expensive and there are some pretty negative reviews. But thus far I’m pleased with it. It’s a little too advanced for my 3 year old… I’m worried he will break it as he isn’t old enough to understand how to work it. But it clearly states ages 4+ so that’s my own fault. I will be sick if he breaks it as this is a VEEY EXPENSIVE TRUCK. But my son is absolutely in love with it. I’ve never seen him this excited and this obsessed with anything he’s ever gotten before. This truck is absolutely MASSIVE and it really is bad***!! I’m even into it! The shipping was super fast and efficient. It arrived in perfect condition a day earlier than the ETA. FINGERS CROSSED IT HOLDS UP. I am a huge fan of Bruder toys and I know they’re good quality… I hope I’m not disappointed!

Bought this truck for my 3 year old's birthday. I wanted a big truck and this fit the bill. It made me laugh when I opened it and found a sticker on top saying not to sit on it and ride it! And yeah, my son wanted to ride it - it's big enough... After a month of daily use it has held up really well and my son still wants to bring it to bed at night. I would recommend it and buy more Bruder trucks.
