Crucial CT6464Z40B 512MB DDR, 400MHz (PC3200) Unbuffered UDIMM, 184-Pin Memory

I bought this second-hand just in case it didn't fit in with the original 512MB already in my old windows XP PC (which is now running Debian Stretch). I had a spare slot so I tried the 1 GB option. I placed this into the second slot, and hey presto, booted up, worked first time, and certainly makes a big difference in computing and accessing the internet. So all in all very pleased, and chuffed that the upgrade cost less than a tenner :) Would recommend trying this upgrade option to fellow "old XP machine enthusiasts".

This product was everything i needed, although the product was meant to be Crucial i instead received SAMSUNG 512MB RAM which i really couldn't fault. They contacted me as soon as they had realized the problem and told me that if there was any problems that a transfer would be done. All in all i cannot fault them, it arrived on time and is installed on my PC as i'm writing this review. I would 100% use them again should i need to.

I received delivery of these memory modules promptly. However, since installing both modules my system becomes unstable. i.e. intermittently doesn't boot and gets stuck at the BIOS screen. I then removed one module and booted with just one in the system and again with the first one removed and put the second one in. It proved that one of the modules has an issue as on each occasion it freezes at the BIOS.According to the manufacturers specification these memory modules are compatible, therefore, I cannot think other than that one module is definitely faulty. Unfortunately I don't have another system to test my theory. For this reason I've not contacted the seller.

Crucial is the best memory you can get. As long as you get the correct type for your motherboard, it will be compatible and work outlasting the computer. I got mine for half the price that Crucial itself sells it for, which is why I bought it. A few days later, the price doubled.

Product-plugged in Worked.Worth checking the number of Pin Connectors carefully before buying -as some memory modules can have 2 or 3 pins more.

Got a PC that's running slower than you'd like with modern programs? Then adding some much needed RAM will help you out! My computer immediately started performing better and I've had no problems. Installed in minutes and automatically recognised.Great delivery and reliable part.Just remember, your processor will dictate how fast your computer will run, but by giving it enough RAM to use will make it a more comfortable ride.

I had a PC running XP but with only 2 x 256Mb memory and a spare slot which was running slow. Bought this for third empty slot. Slight worries about fitting as I'm not very good with fiddly bits and heard all the stories about static etc. No problems - did it on table away from carpets, touched radiator before installation. Crucial website very good at instructions. Works great - computer runs like new.

This crucial memory module is always good value, and works straight out of the box. It arrived promptly, well protected and packaged.Does what it says on the tin.
