Works via the PIR and on / off button as you want it. I wanted some light in my outside workshop if I was just popping in there to grab an item or potter about for 5 mins or less. The lights work well, give off enough light to be effective during the day and plenty at night. Once purchased, you just fit the solar panel to an external wall via the supplied brackets and fixings and run the cable to where you want the light to go. Then you have a choice of a hook or swivel base to mount the light, I chose the hook as it just hung from an eyelet in the roof beam. The cable has a connector close to the end of the light and a few meteres of cable to run. It is a quick connector that you just push together and screw closed to keep the dust out. Once fitted, you have a remote supplied with a battery ready to go out of the box. (Remember to press the black on button on the lamp itself for the first use) I purchased 4 of these to put along the area in my workshop and they all switch on and off via the one remote from the first kit. No pairing needed, just point it at the lamp and it will work for all of them. This leaves you with spare remotes should you need them in the future or to just leave at convenient places around my workshop. All in all a fabulous light and free light for my workshop without the need for extra power to be run from inside your home 😊👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Don’t buy this light . First appearances are deceptive and this is certainly the case with this light . Looks good but once fitted and left to charge for a day it only worked once and thereafter it kept turning itself off after only a second or two. Avoid

We like the light but as we had ordered before we thought it was the same but that had two lights running off the one solar panel whereas this has only one! We have set it up as per instructions but we are still having to physically go out with remote to switch light on instead of solar panel doing it like our other set?!

This was very easy to install and you can also change the brightness ideal for my shed when trying to find things.
