I really like sink strainer. I love that it's black and I really love the way the stopper sticks to the side of the sink. It seems to stay in very well. The only thing I would change is to make the edges more tapered. I think it would grasp the sink a little better, but it still really works great. I spent a little more than I would've on a conventional one, but I like this one a whole lot better and I think it was worth it.

When I first got this, I opened it up and put it straight into my sink to test it out since I read other reviews that said it did not actually work as a sink plug. I had the same problem too - the outer rim of the drain cover would not stay in place and water kept draining under it, so the sink wouldn't stay stopped.I left it in the sink until the next and decided to give it one more shot before returning it.To my surprise, it worked just fine the second time, and my sink did not drain at all with the plug in the stopper. I can't really explain this but my guess is it just needed some time to "relax" from the packaging so it would lay flat against the sink.I've kept it in my sink drain (except to briefly hand wash it every few days) and it's being working like a charm ever since. Without the plug in, it catches larger food debris with no issue and I can simply rinse it off into the other side of my sink that has a garbage disposal. This has been an excellent purchase and I definitely recommend it.

Didnt work , water leak

I originally found these at a store and bought one for our garbage disposal side of our kitchen sink. I wanted a strainer so stuff wouldn’t fall into the disposal. I liked it so well that I looked and found these here on Amazon, and bought more because they work so well. The stopper keeps the water in the sink when I’m washing dishes, (not all strainers with stoppers, do), and also keep me from dropping things down into the disposal that shouldn’t go down there! Awesome product!

Third times the charm, right? You start with the metal stopper/strainer and then you want something better. So you go to rubber stopper/strainers and that is when you realize they are not all the same. I tried the ones where you twist to use the stopper and you come away with food/gunk caught in the inside. I then tried the rubber strainer with a lid you conveniently place on top of it. Leak, leak, leak. You had better start your dishes asap because before you know it your water is gone.Then I chose this brand and what a difference. They work. They actually work. I wish I had found these first and had not wasted my money on the others.
