My son really like this set as it’s easy to play with for a 2yo child. He sometimes likes to throw toy to the floor and he did the same with this set but there was no damage! I could see the quality of this toy is so durable. Especially I like how it was made as it’s really transparent, I could see not only the lights inside but also the batteries! The colour is not fixed, it changed from red to green and then blue so the colour of whole unit would be changed, that made my son not so bored as he always gets bored with all the toys easily! I shall wait to see how long he will play with this set but for now, he’s quite enjoying it!

Well made and strong my 4 year is very kind to his toys and he loves that some light up.

Grandchildren will play for hours with this making all types of shapes.

These are fun and interesting magnetic building sticks. They were much bigger than I expected. The box includes 52 pieces, including multi coloured balls and different shaped/sized sticks, straight and curved. Made from a hard plastic which is translucent. There are a selection of battery operated sticks which light up and glow in different colours. These look fabulous in the dark! There is an instruction booklet which gives you ideas for builds, and a small drawstring bag to store everything in. The magnets aren’t super strong so the shapes do tend to bend and can fall off if you’re lifting them off the table/floor where you are building. It would have been better if they were a bit stronger as they would have held their form more solidly. The kids (aged 6 & 8) played with them for a while but they have their limitations with regards to playability (they prefer to build with Lego!) so I’m not sure they’ll be a ‘go to’ construction toy. They’d probably suit slightly younger children better age 3-5. The set is well presented and would make a nice gift, but at almost £30 at time of review. I think it’s a bit overpriced.

The idea of this is better than the actual product. My two year old is very sensory and adores anything with lights. I've been trying to get him toys that are educational and constructive in nature - STEM toys, so when I saw these, I was like, "great, these are just the type of thing I've been looking for". However, the pieces are slightly smaller than expected. They would have benefitted from being a cm larger but that isn't too much of an issue, more preference. Having said that, there are two sizes of cylinder-shaped pieces; the shorter ones have a little button on the side that when pressed lights up - nice touch. Admittedly, this is the feature that drew me to these, and they do look great in the dark BUT, they would look even better if the magnets were strong enough to build shapes with. These magnets are disappointingly weak, and that is where this product falls extremely short. Tried to construct shapes with my child but the structures would not hold together. You can get a few to stick together or stick them to the little magnetic balls (which are small but not small enough for a little one to swallow), but that's it! That's where the fun stops! So unfortunately, what could have been a great toy, as there's nothing on the market quite like it with the light feature, falls flat (quite literally), at the first hurdle. To the product designers, please improve this product, it has great potential, but at the moment, this does not do what it promises - construct shapes from kids' imagination. There are some positives: The little balls are different colours with emoticon faces, and the pieces come in a variety of colours, there is a little manual that gives ideas on what to build (that's if the magnets were fit for purpose), and the whole thing comes in a cute presentation box and keepsake bag to store the bits in. Overall - great idea, but poorly executed. Sincerely, a disappointed customer who bought this for my child's birthday.

excellent for children in nursery

Ordered several sets now for my younger grandchildren and enjoyed by all . This particular set is for my autistic grandson for his 6th birthday . He loves them .
