I love the creativity
Get your hands on this low brow art book if you can. The art is phenomenal, a genre that evolved from comic book unto fart.I love the creativity, the messages, the honest to God art. But I hate to use the word "art" as much as the artists do. They are creative painters. Real and true fartists. You won't get your hands on this collection because it's become a rarity. I covet my two copies and the low brow art that opened my snooty arty eyesto this wicked world of art.

Amazing book!!!
Even though this book is a few years old it still has most of the pioneers of this school of art. The interviews with each artist are just long enough to give you a good sense of who they are. The fact that the author asks each artist the same questions is a wonderful interview style and makes the book flow very nicely. Asking each artist what type of things they personally collect, (i.e. Monster models, old medical books, Japanese vinyl toys....) was a brilliant inclusion.

Best book of low brow art!!
I loved this book, not only for the fantastic surrealist art but also the information on each artist. They asked great questions, including what mediums were used and what they collected. Great art book that is not cookie-cutter art. No flowers or sunsets here.

Fun Art
I love this book and was so thankful to find it online! No way to get it where I live in a conservative rural area. There is some nudity, but it is all in the sense of art and not something I found terribly offensive. I enjoy this very much! Thanks!

very cool off-beat artists
This book introduces you to art they call pop surrealism, I can't think of a better name for it, but in the book you are introduced to each artist and have wonderful pictures of several of their works. I collect art books and this is one of my favorites because this is not the kind of work you would find in a stuffy museum, maybe a funky gallery though.

A lighthearted yet authoritative romp through the world of lowbrow art
Matt Dukes Jordan's Weirdo Deluxe provides a highly engaging introduction to the world of lowbrow art. It represents an amazingly wide range of artists and styles, with fascinating notes on each of the artists' life and work. The book opens with whimsically illustrated timelines that connect the evolution of lowbrow art to larger trends in pop culture. There is something surprising, amusing, and/or captivating on virtually every page. The quality of the writing, the design, and the overall effect is first-rate.
