It was easy with a router and a block of wood & strong double stick tape as a fence stuck to the router base. Now water and wind can’t blow under door

i REALLY wanted to love this thing. but, alas, it's kind of a disappointment. it works, but not as well as it should. i have the mortised version on a 1.75" door with a 1/4" gap at the bottom. when the door closes, the inside mechanism lowers but not evenly - the center comes down more than the ends, leaving a gap between the seal and the sill cap at the outer 25% at each end - only about half the seal touches the sill cap. adjusting the adjustment screw outward doesn't really fix the problem. lying on the floor and watching the seal come down reveals that the center portion of the seal catches on the edge of the sill cap if the adjusting screw is out enough to cause the seal to (mostly) completely descend - it doesn't descend evenly. a really good idea, just poorly implemented. in retrospect, i wouldn't do this again.
