does the watch ship hacked, so the battery hasn't been running in storage? or, is its storage life part of the 10yr battery life?

Mine wasn't hacked but interestingly someone set it to Japan time (I'm guessing) and the date was correct. Kinda neat! Thanks mysterious, OCD Casio person!

how big is the watch?

Standard men's watch. It's easy to read and my husband liked it because of the guard wired across the face. It's a reasonable price and very pragmatic.
