Soft and rounded tone, keep their tuning
I needed to replace all four strings on my fiddle, the old ones were really past their best - not helped by my appalling playing but that's another matter entirely. These strings were easy to fit and tune, and have kept their tuning 24 hours later, which is great. The tone is soft and rounded, they feel nice on my fingers, they're not sharp and making me feel like I have permanent indentations after playing just one tune. I'm happy with them and would totally recommend for a hobby/pleasure player like me.

Really good price here!
As a professional violinist and teacher, I find these strings are affordable and I recommend them to my students and and notice a massive improvement in the sound on cheaper instruments. I notice thee are a number of amateur players on here posting reviews, so I feel it is worth pointing out that as with all strings, they will need a settling in period as they stretch out, so be sure to allow a couple of weeks before an exam for this to happen and for them to reach maximum resonance, as there is often a period of a tinny sound as they stretch.I recently purchased a very cheap instrument and these strings have made a world of difference to the sound. This is the best price I could find at the time for this product.

Good Quality Strings
These were quite good. I put them on my older violin but would also put them on my children's cheaper ones. They are not as good as the Piastro but much better than most of what I've tried. There really is a difference in quality of sound, feel when playing, and wind-ability between the different brands. I would definitely recommend these strings for most violins. If you've a well-kept older violin, I would recommend the Piastro.

Replacement E string
Came quite quickly and a good price.I bought the first set online from a music store, but when I broke the E string it was cheaper to buy just the one from here.

Does the job!
I'm not a great violin player, my violin is a Stentor Verona. When I bought the violin it was strung with Pirastro Tonica, which are great strings, providing a great crisp and bright sound, for my needs (Irish Fiddle). However, I decided to re-string with Dominants and Wow my violin was transformed, what a great strong, still bright yet deeper tone.I realise that you must consider strings, bows, rosin, etc, etc, for your particular violin and needs but, I would highly recommend Dominants to bring on the sound quality of a low priced violin.

Excelente compra!
The media could not be loaded. Es la primera vez que utilizo esta marca, excelente sonido y respuesta del arco. 8 meses de duración es aceptable considerando que toco aproximadamente 3 horas diarias. Ha llegado el momento de reemplazarlas.

The standard
If you are a violinist who plays seriously, this is a good upgrade from whatever basic strings you’ve been using.
