Q: how do i get the old seal out. I have taken out the flushing system but cannot work out how to get the flush system housing out?

If you mean the water flush tank, then isolate the water supply and disconnect the connection. Then unscrew the 2 screws into the wall. Lift the flush tank vertically to remove. Turn upside down and the old seal will be easy to access.hope this helps

Yes, obviously the flush pipe needs to be removed first though. It’s easy enough to lever the old retaining clip out with a flat head screwdriver or something similar. Then the old seal will drop out. Put plenty of silicone spray or grease on the new seal before pushing in the flush pipe.
