The ring light itself is very impressive!!!
The only reason I’m still giving 5 stars is because there is literally every setting possible in every combination of colors it’s so much fun to play around with and although there is no brightness control it’s not super dim but it’s also not super super bright. By that I mean you definitely can’t be in a really bright or sunny room or else the light won’t really work on you! The tripod is a little rickety but I made it work and it also comes with a desktop tripod that is nice and small and sturdy. I just recommend using the phone clips, I never put the tablet clip onto the tripod.

Good product with some details
The product works well. The lamp is pretty good, and I like the 3 different light colors. The only thing I want to highlight is that the rotation in the top of the lamp could be weak. If the phone is heavy, it could easily move down. The top of the lamp must adjust in the black rotator to properly match the little holes inside the rotation and to get tightened.

I am impressed. It's not perfect, but you get a lot of value for the price.
I bought this set for an online speech class I am taking. I constantly need to make recordings of myself speaking, and my manual setup (a tray table with a stack of boxes on it to hold my phone) wasn't working out so hot.The light is gorgeous. Many brightness levels, and so many wacky color modes it's impossible to figure them all out. One minor complaint, I wish the set had 2 features: A chart with all the color modes, and a way to go "back" through them. There is only one color mode button, so if you find one you like, and go past it, you'll need to click that button another 49 times to get back there. Not nearly a deal breaker, but an annoyance. The light can be operated from the attached cable or a small remote control. The flashing red and blue mode is kinda cool, if you needed to shoot a "police" scene. The phone and tablet holders seem pretty sturdy, and my phone fits just fine. The layout of the set is ideal for someone reading a script on video. You can place your tablet right below the ring light to keep your script on.My other favorite new toy is the bluetooth remote. How have I gone so long without this silly thing? I set it up in 20 seconds without any instructions, and it has one button: to activate your camera. So no more videos that start and end with my arm reaching out to the camera!! I do wish it came with a lanyard or something, cuz I will lose it for sure. I may put it on a piece of string or something. My only other complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the tripod base doesn't feel very sturdy. It seems good enough, but the lack of adjustable legs mean that this is only useful indoors on level ground. Again, not a dealbreaker. It's fine if you will be setting it up and generally leaving it in place.Overall, a solid 4 stars!

This gave light and life to my videos. It was the best purchase I've ever made. My hands are free and I can do more things at once.

Amazing for recording videos and applying makeup! Super complete and easy to use.
Amazing for recording videos and applying makeup! Super complete and easy to use.I'm thrilled with this ring light. I bought it to record TikTok content and make video calls, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 10.3-inch size is ideal: not so big that it gets in the way, nor so small that it doesn't illuminate.

A Saga of Shaky Lights, Oh My!
Ah, the 13" Selfie Ring Light – a beacon of hope in the world of online content creators. I'll give it four stars, but only because it's a ring light, and with a sprinkle of luck, you might get a good one. But folks, let me regale you with the epic tale of why this ring light and its Amazon brethren are the Shakespearean tragedy of lighting equipment.Let's Start with the Pros: Now, I'll admit, this ring light has some cool lighting controls and enough brightness to blind an astronaut. It's like having the sun in the palm of your hand, only less fiery.Ring Lights: The Silent Sabotagers: However, this isn't my first rodeo with ring lights, and let me tell you, they have a sordid history. Every single one, not just this champion, decided to self-destruct over time. It's like they have a built-in obsolescence chip that triggers after two weeks of use. The plug stops working, the lights start glitching, or the darn thing takes a nosedive because my phone's apparently too hefty for its delicate sensibilities.Work, Not Wrestle: I don't wrestle with these ring lights, folks. They're meant to make me look fabulous during Zoom meetings and video recordings, not pull off WWE moves. But alas, they've proven to be more fragile than a house of cards in a windstorm. The Walmart Redemption: After a series of letdowns that could rival a Greek tragedy, I found my knight in shining armor at Walmart. A sturdy ring light with fantastic lighting options, all for a price that didn't involve sacrificing my firstborn. It's colossal, reliable, and I've had it for three glorious months – no dramas, no tears, no regrets. So, in conclusion, the 13" Selfie Ring Light gets a solid two stars from me. It's a shining example of what not to buy if you value durability and sanity. Save yourself the Amazon ring light roulette and make a triumphant pilgrimage to Walmart for your lighting needs. You'll thank me when you're still glowing brightly while others are mourning their fallen illuminators!
