RAINBOW CHALK MARKERS LTD Blackboard Paint 250ml Suitable for Chalkboards used indoors or outdoors

I have wanted to do this project for ages but I was nervous about whether it would work or not. I took a chance on this paint and it is absolutely perfect. I sourced a large A0 sized wooden picture frame from a charity shop, took all the attachments and glass off it, sanded and upcycled it, then measured out an area that was slightly larger than the frame aperture on the wall where I was placing the project. I gave the wall three coats of this black board paint, allowing it to dry for two hours between coat's. I then used No Nails adhesive to stick the frame onto the wall and held it in place for about 20 mins then left the whole thing to fully dry and set overnight before use. My daughter now has a wonderful outlet for her creativity and often asks me to draw her something so that she can colour it in. One thing I would note, I brought leading brand chalk board pens to use so there were good colour choices but they were utterly useless. They didn’t work on the upright board, presumably the position was wrong, or maybe it’s the texture of the paint and the nibs even took the paint off in places (which I fixed with an additional coat of paint). Standard chalks and an old school board rubber work perfectly on this paint though and the chalk rubs off easily. I got three full coats and one touch up coat out of the tin and there is still enough left to do further coats in the future if needed. It was easy to apply, however, possibly due to painting it on a vertical surface it did have occasional drips off the brush despite wiping it on the tin but it was easy to clean up with a wet wipe. Great value for money and the durability is good so far with daily use. Highly recommend.

Might only be a little tin but it’s coverage is excellent, it managed 4 coats for a 2m sq chalk board and 3 coats on a door, couldn’t believe there was still some left.. might give the dog a coat!! Excellent stuff

Easy to use and covers well. Applied with foam mini roller to avoid brushmarks. Two coats. Perfect finish👍

Drys quickly! Good quality. Strong smell though!!

Great paint and so easy to use. Used on boards for outdoors. Couple of coats later, that dry quickly, meant my child could start using. Little goes a long way so the tin should last a while.

I've tried other blackboard paint and it was a pain. This however is super easy to apply, it covers beautifully. Three coats seems to give a decent finish and it's easy to clean out the brush. I've found foam brushes are giving the best finish. Great quality. I'll buy more to make chalkboards for craft fairs and gifts.

Sono rimasta davvero contenta del prodotto. In base alle caratteristiche descritte dovrebbe coprire 3 mq, ma con un primer, anche se non richiesto, sul legno ho coperto con due mani 2 mq circa di superficie. La resa estetica è ottima. L'ho provata anche su un barattolo di vetro. Non so come si comporterà in futuro la vernice ma il risultato è davvero soddisfacente. non resta che effettuare la prova più imortante: la scrittura! Al momento posso dire che il prodotto è facile da utilizzare e va via da mni e indumenti. con un rullino rende di più.

Renovating the gym room in our house and painted on a “chalkboard” to write workout of the weeks on! Works well, erases fine, happy with it. Smell was a bit strong but dissipated faster than typical wall paint does.

Haben den Tafellack für eine Tafel für den Außenbereich verwendet. Lässt sich sehr einfach verarbeiten, stinkt auch überhaupt nicht. Habe es mit einer Rolle aufgetragen - hat nicht gekleckert, sehr gut gedeckt. Die Kiddies nutzen es sehr gerne. Die Tafel lässt sich auch gut abwischen.
